I used to need a bunch of them, then I got old and started going to bed at 9 almost every night and now I wake up within five minutes of 7 o clock EVERY day.
Probably would have been that way all along if not for all the drugs and alcohol I guess
The trick is to figure out how long you sleep naturally and go to sleep that amount of time before you need to wake up. Doesn't work for insomniacs unfortunately.
I am all of these depending on how depression/anxiety has been treating me lately
I legitimately thought I activated some sort of extrasensory perception when I learned my internal clock worked

My wife will sometimes say she’s setting a “mental alarm” when she’d like to get up at a certain time but it’s not actually critical to be awake then and she tends to wake up right around then. There are plenty of times she wakes up one minute before her real alarm, too.
I’ve done the e wake up <5 minutes before my alarm lots of times. The problem is then I go right back to sleep and snooze the alarm for the next 8-24 minutes and end up late.
I kinda have to figure out when i want to wake up before i go to bed, and then it's enough. I have never used an alarm in 20 years. I just know when i wanna be up and i wake up before it. Sue me.
Your wife's probably a witch bro. Tomorrow she'll say she regularly gets a good night's sleep. Witches man, I'm telling you.

I don't think there's a bigger bliss in this world than waking up randomly at night, looking over at the clock and realizing it's still early as fuck so you can go back to sleep 🤤

- realises it's 4 am, need to wake up at 5am

There is, it's waking up early thinking you're late to work / school only to realize you've woken early and today is your day off
When I was a kid, I would set an alarm for like 2am, just for this. I was a dumb kid (now not a kid...)

My cat has a more precise internal clock than humans could ever engineer.
Hint: it wakes up so punctually because it can hear the mice scratching in the walls, who are reacting to your boiler starting to heat the pipes at 7am sharp.
Yes, he knows when I'm in that deep sleep like 30-60m before my alarm goes off, so that when I give him the boot I don't have enough time to go back to bed for any meaningful sleep.

I use an alarm, but 9/10 times I wake within 10 minutes before the alarm.
My body has started doing this and I hate it.
Just drink a ton of vodka. You’ll never have to worry about waking up before your alarm goes off.
The worst part is when its a weekend and your alarm isn't going off at 6am but your body wakes up at 5:50 with a paniced feeling amyway

If I don't get up before 8:30am or so, my husky will softly grumble until I get up. The grumbles get progressively louder.

Having kids removed the need for alarms. The whole house is awake between 630 and 7 every day.
I don't need an alarm.
I wake up every few hours regardless.
And I'm always awake about 20 minutes before my alarm, no matter that time I set it to.

I'm everything in this photo. I can wake up if I need to at 600, but I get paranoid that I won't so I set my alarm for 530. Then I get paranoid that I'll sleep through that alarm so I set one for 545, and finally another for 600. I don't trust snooze because I've accidentally turned off the alarm too many times while trying to hit snooze.
But most of the time I will wake up 5 minutes before each of the three alarms.
