I am that uncle. Both my close and extended family are really nice, like better than any other I've ever met, but I just can't handle all the social stuff. Most of them understand and we all like each other, but I still feel bad about it and it kinda sucks being the one that's mostly outside of the "bubble".

All I have is a 13 year old laptop, and I use it basically all day most days. It's plays music and movies etc with no issues. Cloud pc for gaming, which also works perfectly. It really doesn't like youtube, though, and it sounds like a jet engine every time system and app updates start to download. Can't afford to get anything better anyway. A friend gave it to me after it died on him and he got a new one, wasn't hard to fix. I cried when I got it because it improved my life a lot, just being able to do basic things.

Haven't had a single conversation about it. It was barely a blip on the radar for most swedes. They made sure to say it's nothing other than for the unknown possibility. Since Sweden hasn't really experienced anything war related in the way most other countries have for a long time, I think this was needed. Just so more people have even the most basic things for if it happens.
