I don't think I've made a post on here about food, so here goes! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I'll go first...I just love eating uncooked pasta. It has such a satisfying crunch and the tomato pasta and wholewheat pasta are my faves! This has been a habit that I've had ever since I've had teeth and people are always surprised that I haven't damaged my teeth doing this. I enjoy pasta cooked too!

Hello, I'm here to die on the hill that pineapple is a perfectly valid ingredient to put on a pizza, and would like to argue that any ingredient is valid to put on a pizza.

Americans just don't realize how sheltered their definition of pizza is. There are people out there committing food crimes you can't even imagine.

Put a tube of yogurt on pizza once. It actually wasnt all that bad lol

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago

throw some bananas on there and I believe you have traditional Scandinavian pizza style.

[โ€“] [email protected] 2 points 6 days ago

I guarantee you that most of those pizza arguments are between two Americans. Maybe the odd one that features an Italian.

I used to care about pineapple on pizza till I remembered I'm not eating other people's pizza. I tried it before. I just think warm pineapple is odd.

I did notice some pizza that Japan made. All that mayonnaise and corn made me realize pineapples on pizza aren't that crazy.

Peanut butter and sweet pickle sandwiches...

Peanut butter, deli Turkey, and vanilla yogurt...

Chili and a peanut butter sandwich...

I like peanut butter.

Shit and here I thought PB and honey on caraway seeded rye was weird.

[โ€“] dream_weasel 4 points 6 days ago

Naw that's normal. Peanut butter and honey is good. Peanut butter and marshmallow creme is also pretty executive. Peanut butter and Nutella is good, but only half a sando otherwise it's too rich.

I love dried shrimp. They smell very strong, are quite salty and I think full of cholesterol, but when I start a pack, it's difficult for me to stop eating

Biscuits and gravy...

Covered in raw onions, radishes, banana peppers, jalapenos, or any combination of the above. Try it. You'll like it. Just give them a moderate to fine chop first.

The whole ensemble. Biscuits down first, whole or pinched into bite sized pieces, then gravy, then salt or pepper as necessary, then the crunchy stuff on top. If you add nothing else, trust me banana peppers are super awesome as a topping.

I feel like in the same way there are chili bar type restaurants, this could be done with biscuits and gravy.

Venison, with kudu being tops. Love the gamey meats, so lamb, goat, elk all get a thumb's up.

Beef is for pleebs!

Hawaii toast with mustard.

It goes toast (preferably whole grain) -> large heap of mustard -> ham -> pineapple -> salt -> gouda

I have only ever heard my mom eating it that way but have since co verted a few people.

Canned sardines on saltines. Dad was poor for awhile, eating straight from the can was passed down.

One of the subreddits I miss more is r/CannedSardines (and incidentally the r/sardines ones, just for the drama). Loved to see the pictures of sardines people posted from everywhere on the world. I don't have access to a lot of Canned sardines, but had to fresh sardines but the community accepted and upvoted my fresh sardines pictures.
