I thought FTW meant ‘Fuck The World’

It does when scratched into school desks. In text messages/online posts, though, it means For The Win.
I thought it meant that for a while also. I think it still can in the right context actually but maybe I'm wrong. It did lead to a lot of confusion in my earlier days though lol
I am gonna steal FTFY, so whenever I use that, remember that's what I'm saying to you.

I always read TFW as “the fuck when”
I was essentially certain that this meant: "their face when"
I thought it was "that feel when..." like in the memes.

As in "I really dislike that."
As in "So, everybody unanimously said they want sheet cake for office birthdays and management decided to double down on the day old donuts again anyway? So Much Hate."
I thought I was nuts in remembering that it meant so much hate at one point
I think it was the original meaning when it was brand new and still very niche.
Part of me wonders if it made it onto one of those "Parents! Know these abbreviations!" memes where they purposely list the acronyms incorrectly (LOL--Lots of Love) and then got more popular that way.

UwU, OwO and OwU represent Cute Face. It is used to express various warm, happy, or affectionate feelings, often with an overtone of arousal.
It would be better if people wrote out the words so 1 - there is no misunderstandings and 2 - we know they know how to spell. 😉
