My 2 year old begs to differ!

In fairness, I don't think it's ever covered in lessons. Unless Duolingo has a new kink I'm not aware of.

Haven't seen citra in a while. I'll need to take a look.

Yes, except I think I'd prefer emulation. I was able to get Dolphin to work in VR and that was wild but quite a bit was broken. Wasn't because of emulation, though, as culling was usually the main issue and emulation was able to fix it.

Except animal crossing, those games take place on a giant cylinder and it's super trippy to see in VR.

I'll reluctantly back you up since I feel like you're right, and while I also have eyes over my back at times, I don't mind those in-between images because yes, I'm not going to click the NSFW ones in front of my family but I can easily shrug a half naked anime girl or something because it's the Internet and that exists. And besides, I can appreciate a well drawn image, lewd or otherwise.

Plus, while I've got a young daughter, but if any one actually goes outside, you're going to see worse just on a billboard somewhere. Or if you're terminally online, you'll also see it in ads. As far as I'm concerned it's about as hard to avoid as someone saying fuck. I'll just have that conversation when I get there.

Sorry those who have stuck up jobs, though. The ones most likely to punish you because of an image are the ones you should most slack off during! Fuck those people, I hope we can move on to a tiered censorship system so everyone can just be happy and not fired over bullshit.

This is spot on and something I teach in social psychology. One thing that helps is increasing membership in other groups so that the dismantling of one group doesn't fracture their self identity. Granted I usually teach this with more benign examples (e.g. if you're a "good student" and get a bad grade, it hurts more depending on how important it is to your identity). But the idea is the same.

A few things you can look up though: cognitive dissonance, confirmation biases, contact hypothesis, and probably a few more. The funny thing is, social psychology as a discipline boomed after WW2 because people wanted to know why Nazis were Nazis. It's only recently we also realized that social rejection uses the same parts of the brain as physical pain, though.

Found out today two neighbors had injuries or damage from other people. Teens shot fireworks at one guy, and another had her window shattered we hope from a firework and not a stray bullet. God damn I hate that holiday.

You're certainly right, it's downright terrifying when it goes from a few dozen a day to a few thousand. I swear it was like someone was letting out a machine gun for a solid 4 hours.

You're right! Now I gotta start over. Drat

I'm glad it's also in Japanese, just in case.

My area had 75 tons of illegal fireworks seized a week ago and we still had it non stop from 3pm to 1am last night, including very loud and very illegal m80s and such. If history serves, it will continue all month, and there will still be fireworks every holiday up to and including Mother's Day.

Count your blessings it's only morning after fireworks, haha.

Yes, but after naming my first child Bulbasaur and my second one Venusaur, I'm not sure I can sire enough children to fill in the first 150, let alone the full roster...
