https://worldservice.org/onlineform.html

"Carrying a World Passport enables you to identify yourself as an individual..."

And it does literally nothing else.

"Although the World Passport has been recognized by most countries previously, there is no guarantee..."

Uhhh, yeah, I recognize that. It's bullshit. Guaranteed.

"The wealthiest countries, especially those in North America and Western Europe, are the most restrictive and may reject your claim of your right to travel, in violation of their human rights obligations."

None of us have been stupid enough to try using this in a 3rd world country.

"...the fees are non-refundable."

Yeah, that tracks.

I think you did the quotes backwards. All your replies are greyed out like you quoted from the website and the stuff you quoted from the website is the normal color of typing in a post.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

They're quoting the scammer in a pretend conversation where the scammer reads their own website rules and provides subtext for the terms.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 year ago

My favorite part is that they check a box that says they live within the USA. How can you be a citizen of the world and live in the USA at the same time? 😂

You’d have to identify your property as “not part of the US”

Firstly, of course they're not paying child support, because being a sovcit requires you to be an insufferable asshole first obviously.

Secondly, I mean, I don't condone shady businesses practices or grifting. But man, whoever running that is an absolute genius. Scammer for sure, and while I hate scammers to my very core, something about scamming these people in particular feels so very poetic. Someone should maybe tell them, but man... this is funny.

[–] [email protected] 38 points 1 year ago (1 children)

A shocking amount of sovcits seem to get into the deranged world of sovshit strictly because they want to escape child support. I’d be curious to see some data on that, because it’s gotta be like 40-50% of their gateways.

[–] funkless_eck 8 points 1 year ago

it's slightly tempting to set up a service that scams them and then gives the money to their estranged previous partner.

The address leads to National City Christian Church, but they rent to the "World Service Authority" which is run by someone named Gary Davis (not the excellent blues artist Rev. Gary Davis). Their site is at worldservice.org

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Garry has been dead for a while.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Who's keeping the grift going?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

According to Wikipedia, the current president is attorney David M. Gallup. Can't find anything on him but I didn't look too hard.

[–] verity_kindle 2 points 1 year ago

Thanks for digging that up. It adds to the fun

[–] [email protected] 45 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Someone is laughing all the way to the bank. I want to know who it is.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This whole thing has got me thinking about being that guy.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

If that doesn't work out you could be a preacher.

[–] [email protected] 34 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Nooo! I need to read the whole post! How can they pay if no bank or credit cards? Monopoly money?

Also, I bet the company selling those documents place a lot of ads in those fb groups!

[–] [email protected] 32 points 1 year ago (3 children)

OP is here for you but just could not fit it all into one shot.

[–] [email protected] 43 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Wait, so you have to pay them in cash but everyone else gets paid in coupon.

Hmm... wonder why that is.

Im wondering who is more stupid - people who subscribe to this way of thinking or me for not making bank from it

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

We've had one or two in NZ, believe it or not.

I think it was far north? White woman, had the "private" plates and everything.

There was also a Maori lady in Auckland who was refusing to pay her rates, saying Auckland council didn't have jurisdiction or something.

That was our very own flavour of SovCit.

Lol "the open roads in America".

They're not naturally occuring. Someone owns them (whether private or state) and to use their property, you have to respect their terms. Else I could just walk in your house and start using your kitchen, "It's cool, I'm sovereign so your rules don't apply to me."

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

10/10 would let you use my kitchen, but I'm nice like that.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

You just scored one of my famous sovereign enchiladas. Where do you keep the hot sauce?

“Start traveling correctly and stop do ‘driving’ under a privilege.”

This guy’s gotta be an M.D. at least. Or a card-carrying member of MENSA. But, like, sovcit MD and sovcit MENSA. So…neither.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 year ago

Someone's making bank off these idiots

[–] b0gl 22 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's odd that they take payments in usd. It should be some made up worldcoin instead

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago

I'm surprised crypto currency is not very popular with sovcits. It seems like something that aligns with their desire for lack of regulation.

[–] RoquetteQueen 20 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I cannot wait to hear how that goes when he tries to leave the country.

[–] Klicnik 24 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Depending on the country, they might not get too much trouble. I am more interested to hear how it goes trying to come back.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don't think they'll be able to leave - no airline is going to board them with fake docs.

[–] Klicnik 11 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (2 children)

I guess I was thinking of driving into Mexico. They often don't even stop you. Coming back to the U.S. with some madeup papers would not be a fun experience.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

And I spent most of my life so far in Australia so I default to needing an airline to go anywhere.

[–] ryathal 7 points 1 year ago

That's where technically being a US citizen is nice. They will let you back in, but it's going to be a more thorough I'd process.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (3 children)

Hey met my first sovern citizen in real life today. What a thrill!

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 24 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Not much to tell except a guy who operates a mop for a living thinks he has outsmarted the legal system.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well not to disparage anyone's job but lol.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah I'm a laborer myself but I know my limits

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

Ive said that if there is a God he did me one favor.

  1. Made me just smart enough to realise how dumb I am and held my ego back just enough for me to be aware that "I might have fucked up" is always an option.
[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Mine was high on something and spouting conspiracy theories. They also thought that Donald Trump and Matt Gaetz were the only honest people in the US government.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Jesus I had kind of forgotten about Matt gaetz. Has he been lying low lately? No outlandish news of him has come across my desk

I wonder why they don't accept a letter signed with a 45 degrees slanted signature, verified by a thumbprint in red ink and accompanied by a silver coin for payment. I mean, you can even get a premium gold-embossed passport so it's not like we are talking about scammers preying on the uninformed and weak of mind, right? Right?

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago

And you can get one which identifies you as a citizen of the World Government if you’re feeling like beating the Illuminati lizard people at their own game. Or something.

Did you see the testimonials page?

I AM EAGER TO EXPRESS TO THE YOUNG WAR VETERAN DAVIS MY RECOGNITION OF THE SACRIFICE HE HAS MADE FOR THE WELL BEING OF HUMANITY. IN VOLUNTARILY GIVING UP HIS CITIZENSHIP-RIGHTS HE HAS MADE OF HIMSELF A "DISPLACED PERSON" IN ORDER TO FIGHT FOR THE NATURAL RIGHTS OF THOSE WHO ARE THE MUTE EVIDENCES OF THE LOW MORAL LEVEL OF OUR TIME.......

ALBERT EINSTEIN

Oh, and others. It’s a hoot.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Ok that's marvelous.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This reminds me that I was following a crazy guy on LinkedIn who was into MAGA (despite being British) and every conspiracy theory going, and he said at one point he was a “Sovereign Citizen Of The World”. Didn’t think anything of it at the time, but he was managing to move around between countries so I guess he didn’t throw away his real passport yet.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Hahahaha but probably has since.
