A bit a of a straw man here, I know. Inspired by the recent debates about the commercial use of space and how it makes scientists worried about pollution and environmental degradation

A free market self regulates for nothing but profit

And to kill competition, which helps with profit

I assume you have tens of millions of dollars in capital? (Too bad that was the medical bill to your McHospital and now you're in debt)

when u realize there is mostly empty space between nukleus an electron shell

You may own your floor boards yes – wooden planks, formed by countless strands of molecules, though which themselves consist of nothing but nuclei and electrons
I, however, have aquired exclusive rights to all of the vast real estate found inbetween those puny particles and I shall develop it into trendy nano-lofts and studios!

I honestly can't wait until we get to the point that large corporations own certain parts of space and make it so you have to pay to travel past those parts if affordable and easy space travel for the masses ever becomes reality. Can't wait until they blot out every single star and replace them with an ad for a product you can't afford. Can't wait for them to replace the sun and moon with ads for space travel, now for the low cost of only 300 centuries worth of your salary!

Yeaaa, only the beurocrats really know how to run things

[–] [email protected] 5 points 7 months ago (3 children)

The problem with the beurocrats is that they take all their orders from the aristocats

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

Yeah those aristocats in the EU parliament "regulating"the flee market.

I'd rather have a bureaucrat pick bad rules than let Elon make even worse rules.
