At this point, I don't see many other options to keep everything going for Firefox. If they somehow lose the go*gle money they use to keep themselves going, they need another revenue source and I severely doubt there are enough Firefox users willing to pay enough to keep it going as it currently does. Don't like it, but I'm gonna at least play devil's advocate.

It's either that, a subscription model of some sort, going to pay to install models, or something else to fund themselves. I'd suggest going to a donation based model, but I doubt there's enough Firefox users willing to pay to even be able to keep it alive more than a year or two tops.

Well, I know that I definitely have normal parents after reading some posts. Worst would be things like spankings or maybe getting yelled at when I was older. Or the time my mom wanted to beat my ass with a marble rolling pin for how much of an asshole teenager I was being. Did get beat once with a plastic broom, but considering no harm came out of it, I'd say I was a lucky person.

Edit:

It was supposed to be a punishment, but it failed miserably since I didn't learn anything, nor had any bad consequences come of it, but I did once have my bedroom door removed for a reason I don't remember. Just set up a blanket as a makeshift door.

Shotgun King is definitely a fun game. The worst part about it is how I've played enough to where I'm stuck on one of the higher difficulties and and bored of it.

Haven't been playing it much recently, but I've gotten to a point in Pokemon Unbreakable Ties where I'm stubbornly bashing my head against a wall to win a battle, so that's off the table for a while.

And the only other games I've actually played recently are Yooka-Laylee (only 2 levels in due to exploration and a lot of goofing around), Baba Is You, and Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers. But I've only been playing a little bit since I've been busy enough.

This is the kind of stuff I thought of when I slept in a basement "bedroom" that was the farthest from the stairs upstairs. I can remember one night in middle school watching a horror video and coming out of my room only to find all the lights were off, besides the light in my room, and I rushed as fast as humanly possible to the door leading to the stairs, which for some reason was also closed.

Okay, but why does he look like a skinny purplecliff?

Saying go*gle is pro privacy would be like how some Americans claim to be 100% of sa certain race after getting a 0.01% on a DNA test. Claim it all you want, but nobody with a brain will believe it.

Sometimes I wish Steam would just change their policies to force all games on Steam to make it so any content that requires a 3rd party account would still work if you decide to just use your Steam account. Last time I checked, the MMORPG Dofus didn't require you to use an Ankama account on the Steam version (unless that's changed), so why can't others take that as the cream of the crop example of what to do?

Just by returning to college fall quarter in the middle of the month, my exercise level has gone up compared to the sedimentary summer I ended up having. I have had to walk more with slightly more weight due to having to take my laptop case with me to and from my 3 classes. And it has made me actually get back into a slightly more regular eating schedule as I'm required to eat breakfast if I don't wanna be hungry after classes.

I know someone who has said that the office they use at a small firm probably was used by someone who would be not just looking at it, but potentially slinging rope as well.

Item was $4.50 for a used CD and checkout surprised me with this incredible deal! How could I say no to adding $99.99 on to the total?!?! /s

Mostly asking because I've never used these before due to never needing to. That, and I have a few old disc based PC games that I'd love to be able to straight up boot without the game disc. These are games I could just pirate, but I figure I already own them in disc, so I'd rather see if there are any reputable places with no-disc patches. The places I've looked in the megathread don't have what I'm looking for.

Closest they have is either a link to the game on another platform in the case of My Abandonware due to it being sold, or a link to just straight up pirate the full thing in the case of Magipack Games. I've also done some digging on the Internet Archive but have yet to yield results (probably because I suck at finding things there). Still gonna keep looking there, but any helpful info would be much appreciated.

I don't think I can share the game names, even in DM, due to the rules here, so site mainpages are my best shot.

I've never ripped CDs or DVDs before for any reason and am curious how this works since I have some stuff I wanna see about backing up but am nervous about ruining the disc. I've tried looking this up, but every time I do, I obviously am searching for the wrong thing because I have never found the info I'm looking for.

Linux noob. Just got a pair of Skull Candy Push Active XT bluetooth earbuds. They pair just fine with my setup but no sound comes through them. I found many different posts on various forums and nothing helped.

Using the inxi command I pulled some info I think might help, if it's needed. (I don't know if any of this is needed to help fix this issue. I've only been using MX for a little over a week and have never really done a lot of under the hood Linux maintenance before, but am more than willing to learn to fix this issue). If there is sny other information needed, I'm willing to edit this with any of that information, if I can find it.

Got a copy of Borderlands (EU iso) from the r/ROMS megathread and found out there is securom verification (which I have absolutely no experience with) as part of the installation process.

Closest I have found to a solution to bypass so far after some brief searching was one "Generic Securom 7/8 by Virusek" off of the "LOSTFILESARCHIVE" github page, which leads to a 404 page (even on the wayback machine).

Are there any programs or patches you would recommend to bypass this god awful drm?
