please don’t hate the russian people or those of russian descent because of the government or putin 🙏

Just wanted to chime in that 99% of the russians I know IRL are pretty alright. I'm sure this other russian I know is alright too, I just find him really annoying.

Slava Ukraini, slava heroyam, and let's hope we see a world without putin, trump, and the rest of the clown car soon.

Live long and prosper.

I hold no ill will in my heart for ordinary citizens of any nation.

Propaganda tries to separate us and not see each other as people, and that’s not right. No matter where you’re from, if you need a jacket or some bread I will share with you.

Nah. You need to stop the war.

[–] RowRowRowYourBot 5 points 2 weeks ago

I doubt they can stop the war and Putin cannot if he wishes to remain in power.

[–] s0larfl4re 4 points 2 weeks ago

i should’ve said that i moved to the us when i was a child

[–] untakenusername 2 points 2 weeks ago

that's vastly easier said than done ngl

Same as it always was. Maybe one day peaceful citizens everywhere can remain that way. Best of luck to you and everyone you love. As an American, I'm sure we'll be in some unprecedented hard times here very shortly. Here's to the dream that we can find peace for everyone ✊

we do not all agree with the government. we are our own people with our own thinking patterns.

So, what are you doing to stop them?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

The most hypocritical question any Westerner can ask.

[–] Tar_alcaran 3 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Really? I'm pretty sure my country isn't invading anyone, isn't kidnapping children, isn't bombing civilians, etc etc.

What's the hypocricy?

[–] moopet 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I guess that depends on which your country is, but quite a few are involved in exactly those activities, aren't they?

[–] Tar_alcaran 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I dunno, the number of western countries actively invading another country for the purpose of displacing the population and taking their land by moving in their own people can't be very high. I definitely can't name "quite a few".

[–] moopet 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I'm mostly referencing the US, without knowing what country the previous commenter's from, because "america" was in the original post.

[–] Tar_alcaran 1 points 2 weeks ago

The US is doing a LOT of dubious shit, but not invading other countries for the reason of annexing it and replacing the population with your own (thats more of a historic thing, but that's a historic thing for pretty much every country)

This is absolutely terrible, and anyone involved in this need to be tried for warcrimes. But as bad as it is, this isn't a war of agression, or intentional genocide.

And I'd also like to point out that the british people DID infact remove that government. They did exactly the thing that we'd all like to see happen in Russia. The opposite of hipocrisy.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 weeks ago

How did they remove the government? Did they riot against it in the streets? Was anyone actually persecuted from the war criminals or did they simply walk free and are now committing more war crimes?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Unless you're an enemy of the state, but that's funny, I don't hear about any Western fascists getting capped...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

To be fair, three people did try to dome Trump.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

They and Luigi get to complain.

[–] ZombiFrancis 5 points 2 weeks ago

Oligarchy works both ways in that sense. The oligarchs do not represent the people and the people do not represent the oligarchs.

[–] bathing_in_bismuth 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

What do you think about the 3 day special operation?

[–] s0larfl4re 3 points 2 weeks ago

terrible. i don’t want there to be a war. i want peace though it seems almost impossible. especially currently.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Ok sure, then what are you actively doing to stop your nazi government and end the war?

Doing nothing is passive compliance, supporting nazis. Same goes for Americans and Israelis. You live in a country guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity. Same as Israel and America. You have the power to do something about the regime in your country. When you indeed are doing something, I do not hate you and you have my respect and support. When you do nothing, you are complicit of the crimes committed by your government.

i should clarify i live in the us 🙏
