I have no idea how the Fediverse works. I use Sync just like I did for Reddit because it's simple. Is there anything I can do to help?

Besides donating, being active Lemmy user and creating content helps the platform thrive.

Donate to devs. Donate to your instance. Post. Comment. Be active.

  • use smaller instances besides lemmy.world or lemmy.ml, this will increase decentralization
  • donate to your instance hosts and important devs in the field
  • be active and post high value content

The lead lemmy devs are struggling with funding - https://join-lemmy.org/donate

Sync isn't well updated / supported and I'd recommend moving to another client. I was a long time sync user so I found it hard, but I personally settled on Thunder https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hjiangsu.thunder&hl=en_CA

I'm using Summit as a replacement for Sync
