That's how you become a manager!

If the rest of the CV was ok, I would fill that cover letter as a positive in culture fit.

But then again, I always say that being lazy is my greatest strength when they ask me in the interview.

being lazy is my greatest strength

If you mean that you make sure to get it right the first time to avoid unnecessary extra work down the line, I can actually see that working 😁

I use it as my own personal "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish", and follow up by explaining I'm strongly motivated to find the simplest and most reliable solution for any task.

Lazy + smart is actually a very useful combo. The problem is lazy + dumb.

The worst is the exactly wrong amount of smart. Dumb people usually have a limit to the damage they can do.

Idk man, I reckon I could proper fuck some shit up and I’m pretty dumb

Hard-working and dumb isn't great, either.

Oh, you did it the most difficult and least efficient way? Congratulations, you're a "hard worker".

"I divide my officers into four classes as follows: the clever, the industrious, the lazy, and the stupid. Each officer always possesses two of these qualities. Those who are clever and industrious I appoint to the General Staff. Use can under certain circumstances be made of those who are stupid and lazy. The man who is clever and lazy qualifies for the highest leadership posts. He has the requisite and the mental clarity for difficult decisions. But whoever is stupid and industrious must be got rid of, for he is too dangerous."

attributed Kurt von Hammerstein-Equord, 1933; possibly apocryphal

"Honestly Bob we all know that resumes are BS and people will lie, puff and spin any and everything they have ever done to sound more impressive and act like they desperately want to work for money. I want nothing more than to never have to work another day in my life and live in the lap of luxury but that isnt in the cards. So what you're holding is simply something to set myself apart from everyone else and get myself in this seat."
