5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

7. No duplicate posts.
If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.
They don't want educated people. They want large numbers of the uneducated because it keeps labor costs low.
There is reason that birthrate and education are always top of the list (after tax cuts for the rich).

Assuming we don't end up with an actual authoritarian government, which is definitely on the table, we're going to spend the rest of our lives watching our system be rebuilt after this, instead of getting actual progress. Just rebuilding. Because traitorous Republicans will continue to obstruct.

I don't think so. Did you see how he joined that chat room with a voice changer to talk about how good of a guy he was? That's not something a regular, happy person does.
Yeah he may have moments of happiness but it appears to be built on top of a super unhealthy desire to be viewed as impressive that I'm sure eats away at him every day. He wants to 'win' so people think he's cool. He's like a 10yo kid that steals the ball from his teammate to try and score a goal who gets upset when no one invites him to the after party.

However, this is a shitty idea and it won't go to plan, so he'll just end up with stupid people who can't even work the factories needed to not have this culminate in a mass economic disaster. Anyone smart enough to care should leave the country ASAP because it won't get better. Other countries should be revamping their refugee programs to benefit from the brain drain.

More intelligent and nefarious actors are placating his endless narcissism by letting him do things like rename Gulfs while they get him to sign what they've drawn up, which is the outline for making the U.S. an isolationist nation of easily controlled simpletons that act as their servants.
