He'll be back in the news when he goes to trial. He'll really be in the news if jury nullification happens.
Just so everyone is aware, if jury nullifies this trial we will see the Supreme Court decide that nullification is no longer legal and is a criminal offense.
That is where the country is right now.
I'm praying that it will either be jury nullification or a full-blown acquittal since I have some doubts that he is the one.
It would actually be better if it turned out he was actually innocent. It means the actual killer got away completely scot-free.
I have a feeling that the real killer used a life like mask of Luigi. The dude is just a patsy. The real killers probably found some randoms Facebook account and decided to frame him. If you look at the security footage any novice can see that it was a governmental assassin. A professional hit to make it look like a grassroots uprising.
I can 100% say that Luigi isn't going to make it to trial. They're going to kill him in jail and say he died due to some medical problem or he killed himself.
And why would the government want to kill a healthcare CEO who was doing his job exactly in the manner that pleases the establishment?
Who knows, but it happened.

This is kind of a disingenuous take. What do you expect the news to do? Every morning 1 hour of "We are still pre-trial, no new evidence..." What piece of news persists for months and months after it happens, especially something as "self contained" as a murder.
Why not? They did that for Hunter Biden's laptop.
And Hillary's emails, the 2020 election, the border "crisis" etc. They just keep shit on repeat until it its no longer useful
No election is standing on Luigi though.

Yeah, I had the same reaction over the summer when people rediscovered the 2016 lawsuit that accused Trump of raping a 13 year old. Everyone was like, "Why is no one covering this???" Because they did. Eight years ago. Nothing new happened, it just got picked up by social media again.
He got charged December 9, and lets be real, there were other orange skinned bits of news that the average asshole was more interested in then him by them.
Why would he be in media when nothing is happening?
Americans also have the memory of a goldfish, tbf. Look at who they elected president because they forgot how bad things were just 4 years prior.

Unfortunately, it's kinda just how our courts work. There really isn't anything "new" to talk about his case until his next trial date on February 17. Not that there aren't some conversations we all need to have about it, and how people feel about what he allegedly did. But right now everyone is distracted from that by the horse loose in the hospital. Hopefully at some point that trick stops working on us.

News has always had a short attention span. I doubt that in this case it's in any way related to the specific events. It's just the usual.

That's a parade I would join.
People have a stronger reaction to negative emotions, hence articles that promote fear or anger do better than ones that provide information only, or make people feel good. It's called the negativity bias, if you wanted more information, though it's not specific to news cycles.

As much as I'd like to believe it's a conspiracy, news organizations make money from clicks. There isn't much for them to monetize between now and February 21, so they're focusing on more immediate stuff.
If they can get good photos and text from the next court date, Luigi will get more coverage.
Edit: there have been like five plane crashes, one US inauguration, and major US wildfires since his last court date.
