Typing long ass comments and then deleting them cause it wasn't going to make a difference.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Well, typing and deleting lets me think thoroughly about where I stand in matters and what arguments I use. So in a way, it sometimes makes a difference for myself even if not posted.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

fwiw i like reading long ass comments. usually there is something useful or insightful in there.

way more than i like reading 'ok boomer' comments.

but totally get that it doesn't make a difference and the vast majority of the replies will be of the 'ok boomer' or 'u suck' variety.

Your comments look good. I think you should do more.

Hardly any comments here are important, but getting the conversation going, and then continuing requires the contributions of as many of us as possible.

I mainly post photos, and I love when someone even takes the time to say wow this was really cool or this pic made my day a little better.

Everything you do here feeds the process of making this a better and more active place.

Waiting for new posts so I can make dumbass comments. Until this place gets bigger I exclusively browse all.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (1 children)

Spraying my brain jizz all over the comment section.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago

Trying to find good subs

[–] [email protected] 14 points 5 months ago (1 children)

All, 6 hours (or 12 hours if I sleep).

I like being forced into All by the smallness. I didn't realize I like Star Trek and D&D memes as much as I do. And if you go far enough, there's porn there, too!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago

really uninteresting porn, sadly.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Typing longass comments on my tiny phone virtual keyboard.

Replying to threads in [email protected] and [email protected] so my hundreds and hundreds of hours of 90s sci-fi watching doesn't feel like a waste.

TBH there isn't much here to doomscroll.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago

doom scrolling past all the German and Linux posts

[–] [email protected] 9 points 5 months ago

Mostly writing comments and reading tech news and privacy stuff. I barely write any posts.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 5 months ago

Looking at all feed cause none of communities from reddit migrated to lemmy.

[–] southsamurai 7 points 5 months ago

Mostly scrolling and bullshitting. Sometimes following posted links and such and engaging on the topic.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Either scrolling through my Subscribed feed and occasionally commenting on a post, or posting these questions in [email protected]

Uploading cock pics and learning about socialism

[–] [email protected] 9 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Checked your profile, this guy surely does upload cock pics

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago

Scroll until I get a panic attack, then smoke weed saying it will calm me down then have a worse panic attack for 45 minutes

clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclick

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago

Reading comments, then wishing I hadn't. Then checking all for new fun communities/content.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago

Spamming y'all with poems and sovereign citizens.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago

Scroll through, read interesting links, engage in comments.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago

I’m here for the Star Trek memes. And other memes. And bits of world news here and there

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago

Scrolling All until my client crashes, mostly.

In terms of ‘doing’ anything, I mostly just post comments that are about a 50/50 mix of tin-foil hat anticapitalist doomer/failed democracy viewpoints and absolutely batshit statements (mostly humorous in nature, but I have a somewhat careless relationship with my past traumas).

It’s so weird, because if I added about 30% more (mostly appropriate) sexual comments, I’d be exactly the same person here as I am IRL.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

Procrastinating work.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

Making estimates and calculations in the comments, then replying to people who disagree with me.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

Resorting the same 50 posts different ways ;-)

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

When I got time to kill, I'm browsing through subbed communities and finding new interesting one. I also spend a lot of time within my moderated communities and and getting their daily posts up.

Other than that, my time is actually spent off-Lemmy – I try to find fun/silly/interesting stuff elsewhere to share on Lemmy to drum up discussions here.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

Scrolling through "New" since I'm an information junkie.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago (1 children)

60% up voting comments. 15% writing comments that get ignored. 10% writing comments that people on Lemmy respond to well. 5% writing comments that people on Lemmy respond to poorly.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

Randomly scrolling.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

Participating. Reading news and community discussions.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago

You're looking at it.
