I used a blueprint because im real bad at platform design right now. Took me a few days to get the legendary stuff to build out the ship, and 12h travel time to get there.

I was a little let down there wasn’t anything at all, not even an Easter egg. But at least I did it!

The Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects people from random and arbitrary stops and searches. Although the federal government claims the power to conduct certain kinds of warrantless stops within 100 miles of the U.S. border, important Fourth Amendment protections still apply. This helps you understand your rights within the 100-mile border zone.

Edit: Thanks for support! Right now my plan is to try and replace the grease in the hub with something known to work in low temperatures.

So I got some new wheels for my commuter and on my first ride, after ~3 miles it feels like I'm getting some chain skipping - I wasn't - then soon after the hub completely stops engaging and I walk home.

Never had that happen before. Thought it might be a cold temperature issue but bringing the bike indoors overnight didn't seem to resolve it right away, but eventually something did. A short test ride later and the hub froze up again.

They're Hunt wheels, I reached out and they said it's unexpected but probably not because of the cold temperatures (about 20F). They sent a new set and the exact same thing happened on the first ride, about the same distance.

I'm leaning toward it being a temperature thing, and they just have too thick of a grease in the freehub that is getting thicker in the cold? If this is the case, would it be simple to pull apart, clean, and replace with a different grease?

I hate driving to work, so I'm tempted to try and pick up a hub locally this weekend to swap (if that's possible, I've never tried and haven't looked into standards or anything).

If it is a temperature thing, it can get to -40F here, and I (usually) still bike to work in those temps, so let me know if there's anything I should "shop for" in a replacement.

If anyone has any other ideas what could cause this, let me know! I'm worried I used the wrong cassette or something dumb that I don't know about (Hunt support didn't seem to think so). I suppose there is the chance that I just got 2 bad sets in a row.

More info:

  • HUNT 4 Season Gravel wheelset
    • Shimano/SRAM HG Splined
  • Cassette: Shimano CS-LG300 CUES LINKGLIDE HG 9sp Cassette 11-41t
  • The wheel's freehub came with a spacer for compatibility with different cassette types and I am not using the spacer: A guide on when to use the spacer

For what it's worth, Hunt has been great to work with

Back in 2023, the Video Game History Foundation announced it was curating a digital library, which would allow users to access its vast collection of magazines, art books and more from the comfort of their homes. And while it didn't pop a date on when it would be available to the public at that time, it now has.

Writing on social media, the Video Game History Foundation revealed its digital library will be launching next week, on 30th January.

There have been messages going around the federal government with these emails listed to "report" anything

[email protected] (main email sent to employees)

[email protected] (address given to agency heads)

[email protected] (address given to agency heads)

The government memorandum with these emails spelled out

I've seen people mentioning that they will probably filter for .gov email addresses. Here's how we can flood all those emails with .gov emails

.gov Newsletters

Federal agencies, states, US territories, counties, cities & other localities have .gov domains and many of them have automated email newsletters. Sign these addresses up for as many of them as you can. Some of those news letters will probably not be sent from the actual .gov domain, but others probably will. Our goal is sheer numbers here

When you sign up, put as many keywords as you can in the first name field. Newsletters often say your first name, so we can make keyword search a pain for them. Can even add some LLM prompt injections to limit their searching through that

You can find some of those newsletters with searches on any search engine like this:

[insert agency/state/locality] email newsletter site:.gov

So for instance search

Nebraska email newsletter site:.gov

Spoofing emails

These are much more likely to not get through and be blocked by filters but it's worth a try to see if it will get through. Not going to go into too much depth here, so only do this if you know how to

I finally got sick and tired of nonstop drinking with no buzz and constantly having my stomach hurt.

  • Stressed? Drink.
  • Mad at someone dumb someone did at work? Drink.
  • Mad at a way my partner did/ said something? Drink.
  • Walk by where I hid my alcohol? Drink.
  • Can't sleep? Drink.
  • Play video games, oh it would be more fun if I... Drink.

I went and saw my doctor and told them that I'm not interested in programs but I am interested in quitting. After some back and forth talk they agreed to prescribe me Naltrexone, Omeprazole and Clonidine.

So far on day 4 with only little desire of drinking, realizing a lot of it is/ was habits.

Mostly doing ok, except for the sleep. Clonidine works great to take the edge off and pretty good for the anxiety.

Sleep however will probably take time to fix. I have found that I'm getting these micro seizures is the only way I can explain it. And mind racing. In the middle of sleep I will just jolt, as if energy went through my body. And then have trouble falling asleep, with random muscles twitching/shooting energy. I am curious if anyone else had this.

But but I am on the road to recovery. I'm not interested in drinking this poison anymore. I will miss getting buzzed and not looking forward to social anxiety.
