It doesn't say there's any limit on their github
In theory, bluesky can federate with other apps but it is currently the only one using their protocol, bluesky servers can federate with each other and when a new project using atprotocol appears it will probably be able to federate with that
But civ (and rockstar) are take two's money printers, even executives know not to fuck this series up (hopefully)
All worked fine in the PTU just before LIVE release as well
I'd hope it's carefulness but it doesn't seem like it. Facebook should want to destroy fediverse instances (from a business point of view), they are supposed to be a monopoly and the fediverse is their biggest competitor.
Because only streamers who actually like pokemon and aren't just shills would know the names of obscure pokemon
I think this is what makes the game seem less shit to me. I didn't back the game because I wanted Chris Roberts' fever dream to become a reality, I backed the game because I wanted to play the alpha. I know this thought process won't help original backers since they basically just pre orded the finished product and didn't want this buggy mess, but knowing I was paying for a buggy alpha before even getting the game seems to have made it a lot more enjoyable for me.
I have also been very lucky with the bugs this patch. The only severe bug I've encountered is the new hauling missions not working. I know that Orison hangars are bugged as well, because I was ferrying people up to sepharim in my aurora lol.
Tumblr's backend has been passed between several companies* for several decades, it's a miracle it still works and can be updated
*some of which don't even know what tumblr is
It took around a year for a solo dev (and a couple contributors) to develop a fully federated platform. Why is it taking one of the largest companies on the planet this long to make such tiny changes that are useless anyway.
And why are they releasing it like this instead of releasing everything at once?
It's the same as civ 6. Having a 2k account gave an extra leader for Rome, all leaders have unique abilities, it's not just cosmetic.
It is probably moddable as custom leaders were possible in civ 6
iirc, atprotocol was made to bring some features of mainstream social media to the fediverse that activitypub maintainer have said they won't be adding. They explain other reasons in their faq
