The american constitution still being in effect is less of a “impressive feat” and more of a byproduct of “constitutionalists” using it to strangle progressivism. That’s not to say it’s bad that it exists, or that it’s not something say, Trump, could change easily (though him being in office alone is clear evidence it never mattered in the first place).
But it was always meant to change and adapt to the times. Militias made sense when we didn’t have a standing army and fighter jets. The issues of “states rights” is a long and storied tale of southern mouth breathers trying to find any way possible to make non whites lives miserable.
It’s telling you think the only thing that can come from that situation is a TPK. Nobody’s ever made a threat to “straighten up or else”, as the most basic and uninspired alternative possibility.
