While "Schrodinger's gun" seems like it would make sense, it often leads to negligence or complacence. ALWAYS treat a firearm as if it were loaded, no exceptions, even if you have double and triple checked to see that there is no ammunition in it.

This applies to firearms, not parts of firearms. A pistol slide assembly separated from its frame is in 2 parts ans not a whole gun

at what point is a non fully assembled gun treated like it's loaded?

[–] arudesalad 9 points 6 days ago

I'm not a gun person (from the UK so only time I have seen one is at the airport) but I assume when it is assembled enough to launch a bullet, even if it has to be manually placed?

Not OP, buuut ...

If the cylinder is out, or the slide / bolt is back, with no magazine, and a view of the chamber that clearly shows that it's not loaded then you're ok to treat it like a normal object - otherwise you could never clean or inspect a gun properly

Alec Baldwin never heard of Schrodinger's gun

I'd call it the "Rusty Gun"

That sounds like a sex act

There was penetration of a woman, so close enough i guess?

G.....giggity?

In film, Schrodinger's gun usually works in reverse. People who act like they’re holding a loaded weapon tend to be out of ammo.

Or the safety is on ... or in my favourite gag related to this, in My Spy where all the bullets fall out of the bottom of the magazine when the trigger is pressed

This being the Glorious 25th of May, I give you Terry Pratchett's Box, which contains a furious Greebo the Cat. Death says CATS ARE NICE. But not Greebo, who's hungry enough to eat a vampire.

And his Gonne, which may or may not be safely stored at the Assassin's Guild.

And his razor wit, which always cuts straight to the Truth.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago

Literally the only thing I remember from monk is the one scene where an old guy coughs to death and monk is just like "can you please stop" and the old guy's wife(?) tells monk "you should be ashamed of yourself" and monk was just like "I usually am"

High Potential series 1 only aired earlier this year. It's great, like 90s capaganda only new.
