"Artist" using AI generated pizza picture

Shoving pizza up their nose
Holding pizza like a plate
Strap disappears mid-way
(mentioned) collarbone

Yah AI is in its early stages and should only be used for simpler tasks like military weapons systems and running the US government

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago

Middle management AI when?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

it'll polish out

I was gonna say, that whole post is giving "boss cosplaying as an employee" vibes to me

I'd be surprised if the person is even real

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

Thank you for helping me to catch what this reminds me.

Except it was a bit sharper difference between what they were and what they played.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

I initially interpreted it as a joke, but you may be right.

[–] Lucidlethargy 2 points 1 month ago

Lol, look at how she's holding it.

[–] [email protected] 49 points 1 month ago (6 children)

Man, I'm annoyed because my job has a fun budget of like $1000 which has nothing to do with raises.

And they're terrified of using that money to make a pizza party because of the backlash. So instead, they spend that money on buying dumb ass posters and hats for people with positive encouragement.

So thanks to these memes, instead of drowning in pizza, I get a Good Vibes trucker hat.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 month ago

I do hope you said thank you and wear it every day to office.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago

Can you not tell the employees that you have it earmarked for that and ask for suggestions?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago

Why not do go-karts or something? Y'know, as long as it's during business hours.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Just an idea, visa gift cards. If you need to make it fun, make it a raffle.

[–] sugar_in_your_tea 4 points 1 month ago

We have pretty strict rules at my work about cash equivalents. I'd go with food.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

I found a meme that relates to the garbage I get now.

[–] Lucidlethargy 1 points 1 month ago

Dude, pizza is not expensive, and it's also incredibly unhealthy. That's the reason there are memes. Just go buy a frozen pizza for $4 at the store. The store brands are really solid.

I'm trying to decide whether this is some poor attempt at propaganda or a poorly executed joke.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 month ago

Judging by the AI generated pictures and the “artist” bit, my money is on them being a “prompt engineer” attempting to suck up to their bosses to delay their inevitable firing once they realize they might as well cut out the middleman.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 month ago

I checked their profile to make sure wasn’t a parody account and most posts seem normal so i also can’t tell

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Imma say, both.

[–] [email protected] 36 points 1 month ago (2 children)

So many things wrong with one post. Shitty AI image, gargling on corporate balls, probably a sockpuppet account, terribly distributed jalapeños, calling themselves an "artist".

[–] sugar_in_your_tea 12 points 1 month ago

Is she picking her nose with that pizza?

[–] zarkanian 4 points 1 month ago

A "custom artist", even. Whatever that is.

Idk I like how her shoulder emulates a coat hanger, obviously a step forward in human evolution.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

I hold pizza sort of floaty above my hand like that.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 month ago

Classic "You could buy a PlayStation if you didn't pay union dues!" message. And with AI art to make it extra gross.

After decades of playing 'ZA' in Scrabble, this is literally the first time I've ever seen someone use it in a sentence.

this is literally the first time I've ever seen someone use it in a sentence.

Oh boy! Here's your second then:
South Africa's Internet top-level domain is .za!

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago

Maybe I want some tequila with my pizza. Maybe I like a set of toppings that never gets ordered at a pizza party. Maybe I want to hire a hooker to feed me the pizza. Wanting cash instead of pizza enables all of this and more.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It takes literally 2 seconds to debunk, with the shortest possible walk of logic. If you got a raise, you would spend exactly that amount every pay period buying pizza, and would never, ever use it for anything else...?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Also, how many pizza parties are you getting that are worth a raise? If you consider a 1000$ raise per year, which is I guess nothing on a US salary, it's like 50 pizzas. If you eat two whole pizzas at every single pizza party, that would be almost two parties per month. Is that a realistic amount of parties?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I strongly believe this is a bot

[–] zarkanian 3 points 1 month ago

Here's hoping.

[–] csm10495 8 points 1 month ago

I guess if it was a daily unlimited good pizza party instead of a small raise given as long as I had the job; then maybe it would be a better deal.

If I'm either getting an extra $100 a month or $20 of pizza every day.. I think pizza wins.

What are the chances we get daily free pizza?

If it's not daily: I'd take the money. If daily: I'd have to think about it.

If you read this far and it's not clear: I'm joking.

I have only ever heard Za in reference to marijuana. Did it start as a pizza thing

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago

Harry Dresden in the Dresden files books gives toot-toot (a fairy) some pizza. Toot then starts calling it za and eventually Dresden the za-lord.

That book came out in 2000.

So I'd assume the term "za" for pizza was was around at least 5-10 years prior.

I’ve only heard it in reference to pizza, but in like a Bill & Ted type voice so maybe it’s optimal use is stoned eating pizza

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Definitely heard it called that at least as far back as the 90s. I assume it predates that, though.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

Eat your single allocated slice of pizza, employee. Be grateful you're getting a pittance and go back to work. Bathroom breaks are now a privilege. The beatings will continue until morale improves.
