I liked that reddit. What a fucking pussy cunt. He claimed they broke the law when they didn't. All they were doing was exposing his illegal shit and criminal underlings, who should all be facing at least 20 years in prison for the stuff they are doing now.
“Pussy cunt” sounds pretty Aussie to me, mate
I went and dusted off my reddit account to see how quickly I could get banned. Of course, all the comments I made were in /r/conservative so I'm assuming I'm getting a subreddit ban the second any of their mods wake up.
I don't think anything wrong with doing research
But posting should be on fedi only. We seeding the future of the internet here.
I am a bit hopeless about Lemmy, I still end up going to reddit to search for tech answers. Also finding answers through Lemmy is hard since Lemmy's own search feature is useless at its present state and doing a web search through any search engine won't return any posts from Lemmy.
You ain't wrong, a lot of work to be done. And really, we need more devs and funding for them.
Since fedi is inherently decentralized, the road is gonna be long and bumpy. no other way about it. Otherwise we back in corpos sleezy claws.
Just block ads while you're there so you're a drain on their resources and not lining their pockets further.
Always 🐸
That name makes it seem like some kind of white power racist group. Like stormer, which got shut down a while ago.
Thus week on: The A-hole in the K-hole...
"They broke the law," tweeted the motherfucker who never respected it in the first place...
Laws and rules to these people are not meant to be obeyed by them in any shape or form. They are meant to protect them and bind others.
I'm sorry but inciting violence gets any instance nuked, broligarch or federated.
Just read this:
Some of the screenshots say: "Muskrat’s DOGE Henchmen have been identified," "It's time to do more than dragging names, let's drag their necks up by a large coil of rope," "Time to hunt," "I’ll say it. This nazi stooge needs to be shot," and other comments sharing a similar sentiment.
Now of course we can gloat that Reddit is bending the knee, but if a Lemmy instance was big enough to attract the same attention, exactly the same thing would have happened. No instance owner wants their whole instance get nuked by feds because the users of the instance are inciting violence.
Shit like that was frequently posted on the_donald back in the day, except targeting minorities, and the admins were fine with it
Because your reports doesn't matter. They don't have any morals to begin with and will only comply for legal threats.
Bootlickers don't worry about your stupid minorities or women haha
Politics 101 really...
But presumably adutl men get all bent out of shape when their daddy feelz threatened by the mob 🐸
The mod of a sub I watch confirmed earlier that Reddit is threatening moderators who don’t comply with removing the names of Elon’s goons from their subs, claiming that spreading those names is doxxing.
Those names, by the way, are Gavin Kliger, Ethan Shaotran, Akash Bobba, Luke Farritor, and Edward Coristine.
But nice scapegoat you got there.
You forgot Gautier Cole Killian.
Don't forget to name and shame all 6 thugs.
I mean, I would agree if reddit wasn't filled with hateful and violent content but it is. Last week, I reported a popular post joking about raping two women who OD, just to get told to shut up by the mods. So the fact that this loser got the entire community banned just shows the type of justice you can expect from social medias controlled by tech-bros. EDIT: Also, the only good nazi is a very dead nazi.
You have too many p's. Rapping is ok.
Lol, fixed. English is not my first langage and the corrector was fine those rapping women.
And two women rapping could be Salt N Peppa!
Bullshit.
I saw the screenshots. The upvotes didn't even break 2 digits. At most, the comments would get removed and the users banned. Saying it makes sense for the entire sub to be taken down for the dozen or so idiots is, undeniably, bullshit.
The same types of comments have been made on lemmy. The instances did not get taken down or any legal action. Suggesting otherwise is nonsense.
Yes, Muskrat used the power of the state to enforce laws arbitrarily and for his own benefit.
Weird how that keep happening in states.
Moderation is the law, not banning a sub. The continued banwave today I think speaks to that rather clearly.
arbitrarily
Making it spez, not musk.
Musk isn't applying any legal recourse here. This was a reddit decision.
I mean. he's a non elected foreigner who's overstayed his visa and has no security clearance, and he's stealing access to the most sensitive systems our country has. It's absolutely time to hunt. Anyone have links to screenshots showing the identities of Musks henchmen?
very little is considered inciting violence on reddit, I had a comment get removed for that once it was "I dont like h1b visas, it makes it harder for americans to get jobs when hella ppl are already struggling to find jobs with degrees rnow" they removed that for inciting violence than temp banned me for a week for appealing it
I’m putting the tinfoil hat on here, but wouldn’t it be rather easy to have some users go and post stuff like that in the subreddit? How many upvotes did those comments get?
At least on Lemmy, the votes are public, so manipulation can be discovered.
Also, if those posts were talking about Hamas, Hezbollah or maybe Russia, would that also have shut down the subreddit?

Sure, but why whitepeopletwitter of all places? If they're trying to disrupt dissent surely there are more effective places to put their energy

Not that I think this is what happened, but I think the answer is actually really straightforward - how quickly will reddit bend the knee? Let's find out.
Thats all it would take is a random thought to get there.
Again, not what I think happened. Enough people elsewhere saying the same things that its bound to get commented in a reddit thread as well.
I do, however, think Musk pushed for the entire sub to get banned, or spez did it proactively as a show of support (with a hope to bury his nose in Musk crack).
Edit: The new banwave makes me think its #2 - spez beak tinted brown with musk crack.
Reddit gets a little smaller
(Yes, I know how serious this is. But by all means, accelerate the downfall of Reddit.)
What a snowflake.
With all those right-wingers being whimsical snowflakes, we can wait for summer or we can create the fire to melt them.
Luigi situation already educated us on this pattern of behavior...
The rich are sensitive about our opinions. We need to give them more opinion then. That's part of the information war they wage against us.
Parasites should feel uncomfortable
”They broke the law.” Put me on the jury, and I’ll disagree.
"It's like nobody's even trying to kill him."
-- Elon Musk, basically
Don't they know that inciting and glorifying violence towards the 1% is cool and good?
I think they do hence why they sent in the Gestapo
Who cares about reddit?
