On some level I kind of respect that dedication, even if this person's clearly not thinking things through.
Most people in this country are keyboard commandos who support any war that their preferred news program tells them to until someone wants them to go fight it.
Someone wanting to potentially kill people for the wrong reasons is not worthy of respect.

Just a hunch, if not, I’m sorry, a lot of people who support Russian imperialism on lemmy.
Yes, I'm criticizing. I'm anti-war, and I've always found it silly how people in our country view war like they do a football game, and the only time we've ever seen any real resistance to foreign entanglements is when we made people go fight the war themselves.
But if there's a widespread enlistment and Americans do explicitly sign up to go fight for Ukraine, however unlikely, I'll gladly change my position.
