I’ll be intrigued to see how this goes with his followers, seems like they’d be opposed to this

You'd think, but their minds are like silly putty. If Trump does it, it's good. End of "thought" process.

The best kinds of cults are the ones revolving around a single person. /s

Nope. This is the one issue that Treason Trump's original supporters really do care about. It's right there in his core propaganda rhetoric. It's exactly how he painted other politicians as "anti-establishment" and their much more milder immigration policies made them "globalists". Even hard core Nazi Steve Bannon criticizes Trump on this.

The critical issue is whether they will learn about this or not.

"We'll only let the good ones in"

Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that graduates would be screened “to exclude all communists, radical Islamists, Hamas supporters, America haters and public charges.”

Literally the plan.

Rich, white, christian conservative foreigners only. They want a path to citizenship for hand picked voters from other countries.

They'll never hear about this.

how this goes with his followers

They love anything the orange felon does. They would love it even if he raped their wives, and daughters and shit in their shoes.

Can you imagine how beaming they would be if Trump tried to have some kind of sex with their wives? She be a member of the Trump's Trollops club.

Actually not in the particular case. None of Treason Trump's original supporters from 2016 will like this if they learn about it. Whenever I talk to them that was always the #1 thing they say. Pretending to be against immigrants lowering wages was Treason Trump's original con to hook dupes. This was why they thought opportunist Trump was "anti-Establishment" and other politicians way milder immigration policies made them "Globalists". It is the later opportunists who supported Treason Trump for self-serving reasons that don't care about anything he says or does.

Very Extreme Globalist Donald Trump never actually cared about his followers.

He could paint it as taking down the "ivory tower intellectuals"

Since the goal they(the far right) achieved in Canada under Stephen Harper was the suppression of compensation.

To the point that a field requiring a job earns half the value in Canada that it does in the US.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

I know companies starting "offshoring" efforts in Canada. The theory is that they are cheaper than US but on part technically and that more than makes up for the poor quality from India. Plus other benefits of language and time zones.

He could paint it as taking down the “ivory tower intellectuals”

That wouldn't work at all. Treason Trump supporters care about themselves and only themselves. This affects all Americans in a huge way, and they would know it, if/when they learn about it. Being an immigration expansionist extremist completely undercuts Treason Trump's original propaganda of being "anti-establishment" and painting other politicians way milder policies as "globalists".

Remember "Build that wall" and "make Mexico pay for it"?

Everybody still supporting Treason Trump has just been promoted from Bootlicker to Globalist Bootlicker.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago

Boot licker and Putin's Richard licker.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

My dad once called Trump a communist

I guess I should just be used to him being right, I thought he just had Cold War brain worms 😭

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

There's some joke theory about going so far right extreme that you re-appear on the left. Reality is so twisted these days... why not I guess.

Bringing in immigrants to lower American wages and bust unions has always been a right wing thing. There is video of Ted Cruz saying he wants to increase the number of H1-B visas by 500%.

Trump took yer jerrrrrrrrrbs!
