I'm not sure I understand all the jargon in this one.

Boymoder = trans woman who "hides" their identity by wearing typically male clothes.

Cis = not trans

Oh like boy-mode -er

I thought it was some weird spelling of boy-mother

Oh, good. I'm not alone. I was having some difficulty parsing this meme.

Is "Boy Mode" affiliated with "Sicko Mode"?

[–] [email protected] 27 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

if you mean "boymoder" that word often refers to closeted trans women (also called eggs), who have yet to fully socially transition and wear masculine clothing. Sometimes this word is also used by people experimenting with their gender

An egg is a trans person who hasn't realized/accepted that they're trans yet, not just one that's in the closet.

yeah that too, though the definition of "egg" is pretty fluid from what i've seen, or at least, that's how i saw it (so many people joking "still cis" and "i'm an egg" that idk if they're just joking about it, or if they're checking out a new identity but making it all a joke is easier? idk)

I can't speak for other people. But at least for me all the "still cis" and "I'm an egg hahah" was pretty much checking out a new identity but using humor to make it easier like you said.

Egg as in “hasn’t hatched yet”? So once you realize you’re trans you “hatch”?

[–] OneWomanCreamTeam 11 points 2 weeks ago

Basically. When you finally realize/accept it we call that cracking.

Once eggs hatch they become chicks

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

True, but now I am wondering if trans men also use the term
