Inertia says that the log is moving roughly the same speed as the truck, so I'll apply the brakes and move to the right.

Sure, but it's skidding across the pavement, not flying at my face at 75mph. I can stop faster than it can.
Terrifying is the video I saw of bricks falling off of an oncoming truck, coming through the windshield.
We're you trying to re-traumatize everyone? Fuck that video. There's maybe 3 videos ever online that can do that and that video is 2 of them, at least.
I am still happy I never actually watched it and just saw the thumbnail. I do not want the horrors described by the comments.
The video doesn't show anything. It's just the brick coming through the windshield. The sound is what's haunting.

No the log actually has a hidden rocket motor in the side not visible to us and is accelerating to escape velocity towards the car.
