People hate on morrowind for the worst reasons. There are so many options in the game to tackle most of the criticisms I hear. The game just doesn’t hold your hand about it.

“It’s too slow” Boots of blinding speed, alchemy potions, enchanting, custom spells, level your skills by playing the game

“I can’t hit anything” read how fatigue works, tag a weapon type as a major skill and use that, only use strong attacks, train your skill. Mechanically you’ve fixed that issue. Another option, use magic. Enchanting shenanigans, alchemy, or any combination of the above.

Even Morrowind at launch had problems. It would check to make sure you had the game cd in the drive which would cause periodic slow downs, very annoying.

There’s a vending area and the camera only points at the pay terminal so free snacks too. I’m a contractor, but I worked heavily with a Union Steward at my last place (unrelated to union affairs) and she was heavy into Q-anon stuff. Adrenochrome and the whole 9 yards, all day was just constant commentary from her various telegram groups. She retired during the covid layoffs, the whole warehouse breathed a sigh of relief.

I don’t think internal specs have been leaked yet. Currently we know it’s a (probably cheap) 1080p LCD tablet with wifi streaming only and Sony is going to absolutely lock down any utility you could get out of it. 200 bucks to get a mid tier LCD panel that’s fixed to a PS5 controller, and can only stream in your house over wifi. It’s such a niche use case, most of these will end up e-waste, a few will find users that love it, and depending on the still unknown internal specs, some people (like me) might be interested in buying one on the cheap for emulation capabilities. I’m not a coder though, so for people like me I also have to wait for a jailbreak and custom OS.

I think it’ll either end up a massive flop, or in 5 years it will he a “hey, remember how this exists” thing.
