Probably pivot my time and effort into general promotion of the Lemmy-verse. Kinda hard these days when, inevitably, someone is going to come in and ask “Isn’t that the place that’s full of tankies?”
An anecdote I've shared before a time or two on my lemm.ee account was that I almost quit Lemmy specifically because of how insufferable the Hexbears were.
I can't speak to whether keeping me around was good, but I genuinely only remained because I learned how to block the instance.
Kinda reminds me of a thought I had in Factorio. I was flame throwering trees to get then the hell out of my way, and I thought that this was a little on the nose about how manufacturing might actually work - fuck the environment it's keeping me from growing my factory!

The cynic in me thinks they are just trying to steer attention away from the protests. People weren't taking to the streets to protest shit wages. Would have been reasonable if they did, but attention there is attention somewhere protests weren't occurring.
It offends me that this draft dodging, classified information mishandling, rapist, traitor, coward arranged for a military parade for himself.
In the grand scheme of current events, it is a relatively minor transgression, but fucking damn it when are these fascists going to get the parades they deserve instead of the parades they want?
So literally no downside.
The cruelty is the point. Some people just enjoy making others suffer. That IS the source of the pleasure for those types. How the suffering us achieved isn't really all that relevant.
