Neat! That makes sense. Appreciate the learning moment!

I'll admit that before reading this comment thread I probably would have said that point blank is so close you could basically reach out and touch, or nearly touch, the target.

I do hope, however, that I would look it up before contesting how it was used.

There's a little audio control in the upper right to unmute this for me. Using Voyager app.

Got the tankie triad in there. I switched from lemm.ee too and forgot to reblock those, mentioned that term in a comment thread on .ml and the content got removed for "bigotry". Reassures having them in there is a good idea.

I smell toast.

I've been thinking the same thing. Whether the disagreement is real or not, the market manipulation will be.

They understand. They want to force women to remain in bad situations. The cruelty is the point.

I realize how it could land the wrong way, especially in such a serious context. I wasn't trying to mock or minimize what happened. I was trying to highlight how eerily Orwellian this actually is. The bureaucratic cruelty, and the erasure line up damn near one for one. It's already shockingly dystopian. I went for satire to underscore that, precisely because gestapo are disappearing people in broad daylight. I could have hit that goal better though, clearly.

I mean. It's not technically wrong. He does look like that.

You programming guys are way smarter than me. Tech writing wouldn't be a bad pivot, but I'm a little worried companies will think genAI will do that work just as well as a writer. I'm actually looking at a pivot to HR, since I like the kind of people focused work and market research stuff they do.

I appreciate your thoughtfulness though. It's very kind of you to take time out and try to assist a stranger. 🙂

Were they brave though? Even then they didn't have the stones to approach her without backup, apparently.
