I'm an unclean bottom who loves being fed- bring on the shrimp.

[–] [email protected] 27 points 1 year ago

Jesus Christ that was a fuckin' flashbang

[–] DumbAceDragon 14 points 1 year ago (2 children)

This but unironically (I just hate shrimp)

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Same here ..... Ever see the inland lagoons where they farm these things in Vietnam and Thailand, they feed them chum with God knows what .... the wild ones are no better because they live and thrive in basically ocean sewage dumping grounds

It's like eating pork that are raised in the city's waste disposal sites

[–] snugglesthefalse 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I just don't like the texture.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Find a different waste disposal site, then

More shrimp for meeeeeeee

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago (38 children)

there's plenty of other reasons to not eat shrimp. from the CO2 emissions created from wild caught shrimp to the concerns about mangroves being cut down to make room. (this is not as true as it used to be,) to the use of slave labor.

Not trying to get preachy or anything- I certainly can't claim to be the most environmentally-conscious eater. (I try. but damn steak is good. too. Now I'm craving surf n' turf.)

I don't eat them because I always equated them to water bugs.

Imagine the first guy who saw a lobster or crab and was like "I don't give a fuck anymore, I'm too hungry, I'm gonna cook and eat the sea spider!"

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

Technically, they are arthropods… so close enough

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

Delicious water bugs.

Bugs can be a great source of protein with a much lower environmental impact then vertebrate meat. We should be eating bugs more.

Well I'm a bottom-feeder too, so whatever.

This is not the place to debate veganism or make wild unfounded claims about veganism... Or vegans...

You know, just be nice to each other... For fucks sake.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Also they store poop in their veins

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Not a vein, it's the intestines

I've heard of better men than me chowing down on seafood lips from waste consuming bottom feeders...
