The 35-year-old son of a Hollywood talent agent whose clients included Dolly Parton, George Clooney and a British prince, has been taken into custody in Los Angeles after a bloody torso authorities say probably belongs to his wife was discovered in a strip-mall dumpster.

Sam Haskell, who was booked on suspicion of murder on Wednesday, is also suspected of killing his wife’s parents who are missing, detectives have said.

Capt Scot Williams of the LAPD’s robbery-homicide division said the torso discovered in an Encino mall, five miles from Haskell’s home, was assumed to be Haskell’s wife, Mei Haskell. The grim discovery was made after workers at Haskell’s home reported seeing what appeared to be human remains in his driveway on Tuesday that later vanished. The following day, an unhoused man searching for recyclable material in a dumpster between a restaurant and a hair salon found the female torso stuffed in a duffel bag.

So Sam Haskell, already a scumbag, named his son Sam Haskell, but didn't juniorizie him? And that Sam Haskell also turns out to be bad.

Both Sam Haskell's besmirching the name. A simple Google of the name brings up both their misdeeds.

Out of curiosity, is Junior an official title?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

I thought it was a suffix.

My understanding is that Junior is only applied to the son if the first, middle and last names are identical. So if you're Steve Albert Allen and your son is Steve Abraham Allen, the son isn't technically Steve Allen Jr.

My father and brother share first and last names, but not middle. They get really freaking weird if you call my brother Steve Allen Jr.

I don't know what's going one with the Sams Haskell, but that's my best guess.

The Jr is also not automatic (in the USA). Also, does not have to be parent to child, and can be siblings (see George Foreman's children).

In fact, there are unlikely to be any rules at all.

What you said is the usual pattern though.

"Human remains spotted in his driveway on Tuesday". Do they mean on Halloween? How did human remains end up in his driveway?

Being in the film biz, you’d think he’d go the Breaking Bad route or the Snatch route.
