Anyone have any cool projects for an old Nintendo Switch? The thing had stopped charging, I took the back off, looked at it and noped out, put the back on and it started charging again. But now the left side isn't charging the controller. My parents got my kids a new one, so we have this old Nintendo Switch now.

Anyone do any fun/silly/nerdy things with their old switch?

How i can haz hack?

Repair it, hack it, and turn it into a retro gaming console. You might need to solder a chip onto it for the hack to work if it's a newer model, but it could be a fun side project.

It's a shame they're not bulky enough to convert into lunchboxes like people used to do with GameCubes. I have nothing helpful to add lol. Good luck tho!

Never knew folks did that. That's fun.

It'd make a perfect single Kraft Single holder, think about it.

How old is the switch? There will be someone you can sell it to who will be willing to try and fix it just for an easily moddable switch.

(Also needing to buy a switch this close to the switch 2 must be painful... all the savings that could have gone towards it...)

Thank you. I guess I'll donate it and make sure they can repair it. Thank you! :-).

If it the gen1, it think it'll be worth something to the hacking community.

Sell it for parts or give down the line to some needier kids if it still works fine on the dock

Yeah I think I'll donate it. Thank you!
