Wait... what's wrong with dark chocolate???

[–] [email protected] 17 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

My wife had to explain to me that apparently most people actually prefer milk chocolate. I didn't believe her at first and I still don't understand how people prefer worse things, but it seems to be true.

Are you an American forced to eat that Hershey's baby vomit flavored milk chocolate like me? European milk chocolate is amazing.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

Milka sucks balls.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

I am an American, but I didn't grow up in the US and ate real chocolate as a kid, not hersheys. All milk chocolate is just watered down actual chocolate though, including european.

White "chocolate" 🤢

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Joke's on you, I genuinely like all four of those things.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Oof!

Those monsters who don't like sushi. Must've just had supermarket sushi or something. They need to try real sushi!

[–] Portosian 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It is possible to not like sushi on its own merit and not out of ignorance. I've eaten plenty of it and it has never wowed me.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

Absolutely! That's why that statement of mine was tongue in cheek!

However, maybe you just didn't have really good sushi... 😂

I've been keeping a list of things that 20 year old naive me thought were absolutely disgusting and that mature me finds fucking fantastic now:

Sushi/sashimi - ewww, raw fish

Museums - ewww, art and history

Blue Cheese - ewww, moldy cheese

Raw Oysters - ewww, booger seafood

Pedicures - ewww, someone painting my toenails

Kimchi - ewww, fermented jar cabbage

Asian fish sauce - ewww, fermented fish juice

OP - ewww, internet stranger

Edit: I like dark chocolate too but it doesn't have the same je ne sais quoi as saying "raw fish" or "moldy cheese".

I like all of these things except ~~you~~ me

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

I hate sushi but dark chocolate is great and museums can be as well, especially technology related ones :D

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I like all of those things except dark chocolate.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

This is the way

[–] neidu3 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I hate and dislike a lot of things, but you managed to post four things I actually like.

[–] imsufferableninja 2 points 2 weeks ago

i like me, too

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

Just be glad they make the effort

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

I always had a feeling I was not people. The fact that I like all of those confirms my suspicion. Now what? I don’t know.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I almost always like museums. Dark chocolate not straight up but when paired well. Im out on the sushi. I don't know you. well maybe. its hard to tell with the internet.

[–] neidu3 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Dark chocolate paired with a nice porter is the perfect evening snack

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

At least they care about you enough to put in the effort to pretend to like you.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

I recently read that most dark chocolate has higher than safe concentrations of heavy metals and I AM NOT OKAY with this. Dark chocolate is life.
