Needs a weight limit too, while they're at it.

It’s only fair. And that’s going easy, because at least you have some control over weight.
Although if you’re the kinda gal that’s superficial about height, good riddance. It wasn’t going to work anyway. So I guess that’s good?
What I mean to say is I'm a thrill seeker, looking for a gal who I could risk gluteal asphyxiation with.
actually could be less controversial if you enter your weight and it gives you people in the same weight +- 5kg
hot take, but doesn't Tinder already promote pairing based on superficial characteristics - filtering by height seems entirely compatible with the Tinder mindset and approach to dating ...
Tinder has almost never been an actual dating app. It's a hookup app.
I know that was the intent, but that hasn't been my experience. I have dated multiple people from Tinder, but never really hooked up using it. The app is trash for a number of reasons, I really don't like it or using it. Just sharing my experience.
It's both. I met my wife on Tinder.
I also met this mans wife on a Tinder!
Honestly, I don't hate this change.
It just means that all the people that care about height will self-isolate themselves from the queue and normal people won't have to deal with the bullshit anymore.
Normal women do care about height. Couples where the women is taller are extremely rare.
Surely tons of people are going to lie about their height and it'll be next to useless in practice.
From a sales perspective it makes sense... What percentage of the female tinder users would have Tinder Premium compared to men? I'd think the numbers are very lopsided.
And women don't need the other Premium features of "Getting more swipes per day" or something, because they'll get plenty of matches every day anyways. If they want to sell more Premium to women, adding features that might interest women behind a paywall is a smart move
Seeing shit like this makes me ever so thankful to be married and not having to do the online dating bullshit to find someone who can tolerate me.
You're lucky. Online dating is completely useless. Tried it for a year and never even had a single date out of it. It can work (one of my best friend met his GF this way), but for the majority its just straight up a time waste. Spending an hour every day swiping on the app just for it to not get me anywhere near a relationship. Also the chats I had with others usually ended up with me having to pull everything out of the others nose. If I wouldn't had written anything the chat would have died in records speed. This is also quite frustrating.
This is why I just gave up on it. If I meet someone in real life that's turning into a relationship, its nice but if not I'm fine living alone.
I agree 100%! Sorry it's been a shitshow for you. I tried it for a few months before meeting my wife in person about 10 years ago. I also had zero dates and a small handful of unproductive conversations. Best advice I can offer is to find a hobby that allows you to interact with others who have similar interests as you.
Bet they put it behind a paywall
They put on the top shelf so that only tall people can reach it.
I mean yeah. Says so right there.
Other dating/hookup apps already have that, albeit (some? all?) behind a paywall
I'm not a particularly tall guy, but I'm in favor of anything that gets more incels to decide to punch out early.
