what changed??? mainstream news is questioning Israel now?? why????? I haven't seen anything like this in Israel's entire history

[–] [email protected] 12 points 6 days ago

piers is not exactly mainstream, and he'll do everything to get clicks. including having people on who regularly shit on him, because he knows it gets views. he loves it, and that's all he cares about.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 6 days ago

Did you see the latest images coming out of Gaza? They're drip feeding humanitarian aid to crowds of people herded like cattle in wired fences.

It's utterly outrageous, even by Israel's standard. Their activities are too repulsive to ignore for a lot of commentators.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 6 days ago

Here's where Israel fucked up with their supporting trump play.

If the whole world has turned their back on the US because of a despotic leader, what makes you(Israel) think they'll continue to support you? You're a MUCH smaller player on the international stage than the fucking US.

You done fucked yourselves.

[–] [email protected] 137 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You've really fucked up when Piers Morgan calls you out, especially when it comes to Israel. Damn, what a fucked up time we're living in...

[–] [email protected] 30 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Unless I see evidence of him being legitimately critical of Israel prior to 2025, I'm gonna assume he's only calling them out now because public opinion has overwhelmingly turned against Israel.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

So?

Different people have different breaking points.

Are you really going to be a fucking hipster about people coming around to Gaza and talk down because they supported an oppressed people later than you did?

Fucks sake dude.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

It’s just pathetic. We’ve been on the streets for the last 20 months and we’ve said as early as October 2023 that this is genocide. We’ve been cancelled, beaten up by the police, harassed, threatened, lost jobs, been called extremists, delusional, Nazis, antisemites, terrorist supporters by the likes of Piers Morgan and unfortunately by most liberal journalists and politicians as well.

There’s no coming around and there’s nothing to applaud when people are taking a stance against genocide. It should have never been controversial and all of these people "waking up“ now are deeply complicit in this and they will be deeply complicit in the next thing where consent will be manufactured to commit other atrocities in the name of democracy and Western values.

You probably won't find anything, he's a twat, and has always been a twat. But everyone has their limit, and seeing 4k videos of children burning alive was probably his.

[–] neukenindekeuken 2 points 6 days ago

It should be everyone's limit. Limits should have been hit long before that.

Fuck.

[–] [email protected] 106 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Today Piers was not a twat.

He should frame that because it's a pretty rare event.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Broken clock is right twice a day or something

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 days ago

Piers was also right to speak out against the 2nd Gulf War.

He's reached his limit. Pay no further attention.

[–] [email protected] 106 points 1 week ago (6 children)

Ah fuck do I agree with this cunt now?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 days ago

Think it more along the lines of Piers Morgan agreeing with you. It's more factually correct and feels better.

[–] [email protected] 67 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (4 children)

It's just incredibly easy to gain popularity with that.

But yeah. No matter what a cockwomble he is, he is right about this. But you know what they say, even broken clocks are right twice a day.

You agree with him on this. Don't let that make you think you agreee with him, full stop.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

It's not like he's taking a big moral leap here, he's calling out the murder of children. Even a really bad person will usually find that objectionable. Taking this easy moral position doesn't mitigate the rest of his terrible history.

He’s been on point a few times. This is a personal favourite. He’s not a good guy though, it’s all for the attention.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 days ago

Ah damn, the one making Ben Shapiro cry was Andrew Neil.

This article always gives me a chuckle when something like this happens. https://clickhole.com/heartbreaking-the-worst-person-you-know-just-made-a-gr-1825121606/

I absolutely detest him, but at least he has the guts (even if it's just for ratings) to ask these questions and make these genocidal maniacs look inept. The majority of "news" media just pander to them.

He's started to really come around to the right side of this. Good to see, better late than never

[–] [email protected] 81 points 1 week ago (2 children)

What the hell Israel has even lost Piers Morgan.

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I was going to say that, it is not like the guy is a beacon of enlightment usually.

Everyone is disgusted with Israel actions now.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 week ago (2 children)

It's good to see the tide turn.

Not everyone was disgusted with Israel's actions before, and some of these people are just blowing in the political wind.

Don't be so sure. Piers Morgan will do whatever he thinks makes "good television" and especially good sound-bites that can have his ugly mug displayed ad-nauseam.

He saw a weakness and exploited it. I doubt he's "chosen a side" at all.

[–] [email protected] 63 points 1 week ago

Yeah now that Israel has fallen out of favour and others have already publically condemned their actions of course Piers won't miss the oppurtunity to talk over somebody in the name of journalism. Don't get me wrong - the ambassador can get fucked too. But I still remember all the crap he said about Palestine like a year ago. He was one of the public figures really pushing the "Palestine supporter = hamas terrorism enjoyer" narrative. The killing of Palestinian children hasn't just started now and he was on the side of the perpetrators the whole time. This interview changes nothing about what a greedy, self righteous piece of shit he is.

[–] [email protected] 61 points 1 week ago (5 children)

Gtfo with claiming this is blood libel. The Israeli government is so painfully and pathetically predictable.

Amazing how she says that they’re “human shields” like that makes it different or better.

[–] [email protected] 30 points 1 week ago

It's insane, the basic fucking concept of why human shields "work" is that it's morally wrong to kill them. Totally bizarre.

[–] [email protected] 37 points 1 week ago (1 children)

So is it finally okay to call out Israel on their bullshit now that comfy media personalities are doing it or is that privilege just for them?

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

No, you have to wait until traditional media like the evening news and print newspapers do it as well. Because the average boomer is still fed lies about the situation through those.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Yeah and while they were busy telling us the last 20 months that we’re Nazis or antisemtimes or whatever now that they’re "waking up“ they’re pretending that they’re already aware and tell others that they "can’t look away anymore"as if they’d be some kind of martyrs who break some taboo. It’s pathetic, really.

[–] [email protected] 32 points 1 week ago

I guess even a crazy stupid clock is accurate sometimes

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I think the appropriate response from an ambassador to a question they don't know the answer is "let me find out and get back to you", not "please stop asking me questions!".

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 week ago (3 children)

"How many children have you killed" "Let me find out and get back to you" is definitely an answer, but I'm not sure it's a good one.

[–] atzanteol 23 points 1 week ago

"I don't have those specific numbers but we're taking all precautions to limit casualties...and did I mention all the bad things they are doing?" is more the traditional response.

Gotta start washing your hands so you can later say "look, I stood against genocide"

Better than doubling down for sure tho.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Okay... wow. I don't care enough about Piers Morgan to have an opinion on him, but I have to say: Mad respect for calling her out like that,
