So do Republican politicians, yet no one's doing jack shit to prevent it. Absolute cowards.

Knowing you have the legal authority and power to put Orange Jizzstain in his place and do nothing about it, especially when you know he's a threat to our entire nation, is fucking criminally insane to me.

Whilst there are definitely cowards who are bowing to Trump (and will likely come to regret the fate that such subservience will earn them), there are plenty who intend to do their jobs as judges, but are also terrified for their family's safety. Whilst it's true that there are many who are terrified under Trump's regime, it seems like the MAGA machine is especially focussed on judges and other jurists, having identified them as one of the most significant obstacles to the solidification of MAGA power

These judges accepted the role, let them fight for us. Now is the time for the judiciary to step up. Yes, they and their families may be in danger, I would say they are in danger. Step up!

I sleep with my AR-15 by my bed and a Colt .45 in my desk drawer. I practice with both, often. And my various shotguns. My wife is a legal brown alien. I may well die defending her against masked men (we all know who I mean). I've accepted that. Need I expand?

Some people are going to make fun of you for that, but good on you for being willing to defend your family like that.

If more people were this would be over by now

Judges know full well how to utilize the legal system. If people are threatening them, they can easily contact state police or the FBI. If Trump's lackeys are violating court orders, they know exactly how to initiate contempt proceedings.

If judges aren't doing those things, but they are still scared, then their cowardice is the worst kind, because it's both selfish and self-defeating, but much more importantly, it's screwing over the rest of us who rely on them to regulate the Executive Branch.

The thing is that he can't do anything to any of them. Nothing more than he does to everyone else, which is to say, he could call them names. There is no excuse. They are all spineless cowards, complacent with ringing in fascism in the US.

I made sure to let my reps know that this evening. Chuck Grassley, Marriott Miller Meeks, and Ashley Hinson of Iowa are just fucking worthless, and while I know they won't read it, I let them know. I encourage others to do that same.

its a double edged sword, they dont want to oppose him for fear of retribution, but they all still want to grift from his "coattails", basically "keeping up with the TRUMPS"

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

Most of the people that voted them in are the people sending threats.

It must be some serious dirt he holds over them.

He holds votes over them. That's the whole story.

Say you want to make your spot in the country a better place, but that place is solidly conservative. Your only choice is to jump on the MAGA wagon and do your best to thread the needle between "MAGA" and "best you can do".

Having only two political choices has screwed America into the ground. Let our first President school us:

When Americans voted according to party loyalty, rather than the common interest of the nation, Washington feared it would foster a “spirit of revenge,” and enable the rise of “cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men” who would “usurp for themselves the reins of government; destroying afterward the very engines, which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”

(So much more to unpack in all that. Give it a read.)

[–] [email protected] 46 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He probably wouldn't be able to do that if he was in prison where he fucking belongs.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

Obligatory Fuck Joe Goddamn Motherfucking Biden for UTTERLY REFUSING to defend the country because he's a goddamn conservative two-faced fucktard

SCOTUS ya might wanna overturn that immunity rulling, just sayin'

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 day ago

Trump [...] made a plea, still in capslock, for the U.S. Supreme Court to “SAVE US FROM THE DECISIONS OF THE MONSTERS WHO WANT OUR COUNTRY TO GO TO HELL.”

SCOTUS now has the perfect opportunity to do the funniest thing ever.

Yes, listen to Trump. Save us from these MAGA hat monsters

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 day ago

I dunno ... maybe DO something about it.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago

Then maybe you shitweasels shouldn't have given an addled old PoS ultimate power??? Reap what you sow.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

I don't mind that it isn't only poor brown people who feel this way. Too many people in power think they're untouchable and their shit don't stink.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

Dumb fuckers should've thought about that before they let the monster into their house.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago

They definitely will in time. Either stochastic terrorism or just straight up authoritarianism.
