They'll both be wrong half the day.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Nope, that’s the point of layers. Adjustable.

That's how I get to be wrong more than half the day. The sun knows when the jacket goes back on.

Yep, forecast today: somewhere between 5 and 25 °C.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago

So shorts weather all day? Sounds good.

In the UK you'll often see teenage boys wearing big thick black jackets in the peak of summer. Even when it can be in the mid 30Cs. I've no idea what drives them to make such decisions.

Black North Face jackets, almost every lad from the ages of 14-35 has one lol

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yep! Although it's usually teenagers that wear them in totally absurd conditions.

They think it's something to be respected to suffer for cool or what is going on.

While when I visited the UK in October/November way back, every geezer over the age of 50 ran around in shorts. Even when it was like 10C. I've no idea what drives them to make such decisions.

I'm way under 50 but I'll be wearing shorts until October or November! My legs don't feel the cold as much as the rest of my body and it's just more comfortable than wearing trousers.

I wonder if it's a style thing, or for hiding things that a roadman might need.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

It's almost definitely knives.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Shit, I'd wear a jacket too if it was somehow in the 30s in June.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Really? How warm would it have to be for you to not wear a jacket?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 week ago

Some context for my joke: I'm an American.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

If the stereotype is accurate, I'm thinking knives.

[–] vale 12 points 1 week ago

at least I don't have to worry about that!

*cries in 36⁰C highs*

They’re both wrong. Left is going to be chilly when the sun goes down and right is going to be hot during the day.

Today's Weather:

Yes, with a chance of probably in the late afternoon, followed by a 50% chance of overnight definitely.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

Its such a pain choosing what to wear but this season makes it EVEN WORSE

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

I am too confident, my thought is always "this person is going to die from heat/cold!" And rarely "did I make mistake?"

Quebec has a song just about that. https://youtu.be/_whvVXX0hCk? Basic, whenever it looks cold, I look outside and ask whoever wear a pullover ' hey izzit cold? Are you good in that pullover?"

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Isn’t that the point of layers?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yes but then you'll have to carry these layers around with you :(

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

Has using sleeves to tie around waist come back yet? I never stopped but I’ve seen young people wearing grunge stuff again.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

They don't seem to have heard of weather reports.

One person wakes up at 11:00 AM when the sun is at the highest to do absolutely nothing besides a walk in the park and spending their neet bucks in Starbucks

Second person wakes up at 6 AM when it is cold outside, and works hard whole day to pursue their dreams.
