If they aren't physically restrained and put in a cell then there isn't a punishment and there's nothing stopping them.

- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

What are the consequences?
Some rebukes. Maybe even some slammings. Not from dem leaders though, they'll be cowering in the corner waiting for the votes to come to them, or for orders to come down from AIPAC HQ.
The repercussion is that some states won't benefit by staying in a United States of America anymore. Already California is looking to circumvent tariffs by negotiating directly with other countries. You're witnessing the beginning of a secession, state by state, of the United States of America.
Balkanization in America. This is gonna suuck.
California comprises 14% of America's GDP. I hope they secede.
Add Oregon and Washington. Then they can form an alliance with Canada and Mexico, and the United States will be mostly surrounded.
I also think that at some point, Putin is going to demand the return of Alaska, and HitlerPig will consider it, or maybe even do it. So maybe Alaska can join the alliance, too. They can use their oil to fund their economy.
The question is how will CA circumvent the tariffs? Reimburse them? But then I’ll be on the hook for the reimbursement as a CA taxpayer…and I’m still expected to pay federal taxes.
Can't they pull a Trump and just ignore the tariffs?
Probably just telling the state agents to no longer report to the IRS or the feds in general, reminder that the federal government and especially the IRS is heavily reliant on state and local officials. It's entirely possible that the state could just give incentives to the port authorities that out weigh the risks of fucking over the feds.
Can't levy tariffs if ya don't know what's going in or out. Also it's a fine excuse to fuck over customs.
States control their own taxes and subsidies even if there are federal tariffs.
This is civil war/secession type stuff.
