And I am backing away from ever voting for another democrat unless they can prove -- with receipts -- that they are 100% pro-trans. Although, if no one stands up to the maga regime, voting will almost certainly be rigged on a national scale from now on.

That attitude of drawing lines in the sand if the Democrats get your vote is why Trump won in 2024.
Can we not do this? Trump won in 2024 because more people voted for him. And trans people are allowed to be suspicious of a political party that is actively throwing them under the bus.
I'm a leftist and not a registered democrat; democrats aren't owed my vote.
Edit: human rights are non-negotiable.
And human rights will be better under the alternative? They don't even negotiate, it's just a flat "No". Choosing nothing over lesser evil because perfect isn't on the ballot is how we wind up with greater evil.
If dems couldn't trip their way over a ~~line in the sand~~ massive human rights concern to win an election, whose fault is that, really 🤔

The trans sports debate is so fucking stupid.
Trans people playing gendered sports was a cakewalk for conservatives. It was such a dumb fight to pick. Our civil rights leaders overplayed their hands, encouraging Democrats to chase this dragon, now the closest thing we had to political allies have to publicly walk back their alignment with us to save face.
It's literally setting trans rights back 20 years.
So yeah, make the issue a small one, managed by regional and local authorities. Encourage gender-integrated sports and leagues; that's the real answer here.
We have to win the culture first, THEN leverage that for legal protections. Now, because of these choices, we get to spend the next decade (or more!) being underpaid, underemployed, discriminated against and abused until we can convince anyone it's worth fighting for us.
