Spoken as if it was true Russian troll factory appraised propaganda. This is the sort of message of apathy they want permeating throughout the opposition. The problem isn't people, the problem starts with you. What are you going to do about it, and why should other people do something you don't want to work towards? Those people you are calling to revolt, what if they think the same thing you do.
The US thinks it's special, so it doesn't seem to think that this scenario is already working out in countries like Turkey, in countries like Hungary, in countries like Belarus ... You are not going to get a revolt, if you were that special it would already materialize at the personal level. You will decay into a dictatorship. The people overthrowing your democracy are psychopaths, they are psychopaths that have trained to not give a concern about society, they have lived in positions of affluence where they haven't had to care or have been burned by it, hell, these psychopaths have even played all the world building and backstabbing sandbox computer games with all their heart that for you were just an amusement and barely a footnote, and they will continue to gaslight your doubts and fears.
They have all the experience, and you, well, if anyone does rebel, it will be done with inexperience and a healthy dose of "well, society deserves this" apathy. At that point, it is just a matter of the will to accept losing for something you believe for versus the practicality of just living on no matter what because at least you live. A lot of people have clearly chosen their side, and it tends to be with "well it was chosen for me" when that's just projection of what they have already decided to choose. People praise Luigi, people have seen how society unites with Luigi, but they will never be a Luigi.
