Tim Allen is a conservative piece of shit, this is a grift.

And that’s basically it!
All movies made by companies are about the money
Tim Allen is a tool
And a narc
Andrew Stanton is directing “Toy Story 5,” which will center on Buzz, Woody and the rest of the toys as they go head to head with the electronics that now consume the attention of children.
Oh boy, please go hard on cable TV channels and radio stations aimed at kids, Internet streaming services, toys-to-life video games, licensed mobile cash grabs developed by Gameloft and Club Penguin-like experiences! Any company in the business of those is evil.
Oh boy, please go hard on ... Internet streaming services
My hope is not high for this. The movie will be made by Disney, so I don't think they'll be going after Disney+.
Nah they’ll just have a talking tablet and little Tommy’s phone will wake up when he leaves the room and have a horrified look on its face. Apps will be opening and talking to each other. Buzz gonna discover AI and build a rocket. There’s gonna be a toy convinced that the room is a Fortnite map. “This is a straaaange game server! Build something! Fight Meeee!”
Oh, I expect they well may, in Wreck-It Ralph 2 fashion. They might make it the target of a quick tongue-in-cheek remark at its own expense, but its mere appearance will nonetheless be an ad for the brand.
But Woody stayed behind with Bo Peep to rescue other lost toys at the end of 4. I thought that was supposed to be the end because it was no longer Buzz and Woody. Buzz stayed with the family.
Maybe that's the reason Buzz gets involved; some newfangled electronic gizmo stole his wife.
I'd watch a Toy Story version of Taken
I kinda remember they still see each other post credits scene?
I could be wrong though.
They'll probably go hard on toys that teach.
Those drones you have to learn to fly and repair.
Those video games that require critical thinking.
Those mechanical legos that teach you to build.
What else don't they make money on?
Anything that has a part 5 is a cash grab, what are you even saying?
Roll film:
Narrator Buzz Lightyear, "It was about the money. It was always about the money."
That is the exact quote people use when it’s 100% a cash grab
Not just about the money, 90% money and 10% brand awareness
I thought it was 10% skill
... Fifty percent increased shareholder value
And a hundred percent reason to remember the Toy Story IP
I still haven’t seen # 4. Probably should
I wasn't a fan. 3 was brilliant, though
3 should have been the end of the whole thing tbh. It was the perfect send-off imo.
looks like shit
The last one wasn’t good.
didn't watch it because I'm not a baby
"Toy story 5 is exactly like cocaine"
I have been consistently surprised by how good each of the Toy Story films was. I can't think of a way to make 5 after the way 4 ended (unless it has new protagonists) but I expect the folks making the movie to surprise me again.
They were all good films. 4 had a very definitive "end of story, close the book" feel to it. It wrapped everything up nicely. It's going to be very hard not to ruin it but we'll see.
So did three.
Fair point.
It can be both.
I'm with Tarantino on Toy Story.
You wanna outline the opinion or give a link or something?
Usually you make quality and notable contributions, everything good over there?
in summary, it is his opinion ( and he is quite vocal about it) that Toy Story 3 provided the perfect ending and he refuses to watch 4 or any future movies in order to not ruin said perfect ending.
