Bunch of mediocre people really sweating right now.

[–] [email protected] 54 points 6 days ago

Lotta people about to suddenly call in sick.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 6 days ago

Guilty! Today was really difficult. Essentially just an off day

[–] [email protected] 165 points 6 days ago (5 children)

Looks like they found someone.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 6 days ago (1 children)

What the hell is wrong with the font in that image? It hurts... did someone content aware scale it?

[–] [email protected] 29 points 6 days ago (1 children)

It got reposted at low res at some point and then someone tried an AI upscale to try and make it better.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 6 days ago (3 children)

They couldn't, like... Retype it? No need to use garbage AI for everything.

Ironincally using older AI instead of current.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago

Reverse image searching could have probably turned up a better quality copy. :c

Bruh its taken. Unless you can reverse fund the job

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago

What does that mean

[–] [email protected] 7 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Can't they just hire an AI company instead of a person?

And nothing of value was lost.

[–] [email protected] 40 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Sorry, my bad, I asked it how to reverse entropy.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 6 days ago (1 children)

THERE IS AS YET INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR A MEANINGFUL ANSWER.

Don't you just have to make time go backwards?

Oh no! Anyway....

This is the day after iOS 18.2 was released with native ChatGPT integration.

[–] [email protected] 46 points 6 days ago (3 children)

Apple did release iOS 18.2 which supports chat gpt integration with Siri, might have a ton of new users all of a sudden

[–] sugar_in_your_tea 15 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I thought they hosted their own LLM...

[–] [email protected] 16 points 6 days ago

They are going to but LLM Siri won’t be available till later next year, so at the moment the only improvement to Siri is that it can understand people better especially people with stutters.

Any “Advanced queries get handled by chat GPT.

As for writing tools I’m not 100% sure if it’s their own models they are using at the moment but I think that may have chat gpt capabilities as well.

Final exams for anyone using the terms/quarters system in the US right now. Damn that sucks

[–] [email protected] 20 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Have they maybe considered just studying?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 6 days ago

What's that

dont @ me bro

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago

You can use it as a tool for studying too. Generating some practice problems or rephrasing notes are helpful

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 days ago

lmao they deserve it

[–] [email protected] 28 points 6 days ago

Good, hope it never comes back up.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 4 days ago

And you're next, Copilot

[–] [email protected] 25 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Today Apple released macOS 15.2 with ChatGPT integration. I wonder if this has anything to do with the outage.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 6 days ago

Probably more likely to be related to the Sora release or any of the other stuff they’ve announced this week.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 6 days ago

"we were using ChatGPT to design our server architecture and..." (OpenAI PR tomorrow, probably...)

[–] [email protected] 19 points 6 days ago

Darn. That's just terrible.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 6 days ago

Hope it can stay that way

[–] [email protected] 13 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Lot of people will learn about claude today

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 days ago (3 children)

I always forget about Claude. How does it compare to chatgpt. Maybe I should switch to it for some time to see.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 6 days ago

Well the one thing, it's online.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Limits on the free usage tier but the answers I get from it are usually much more useful to start.

I have the opposite experience. Hallucinations out the wazoo.

I usually end up using Llama through duck.ai

It's just throwing a hissy fit because Donald Trump promised it could be ambassador to Greece and then picked the Loud Lady instead.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Maybe it's something related to Sora? I heard that they recently launched it to the public, and yesterday Altman published about OpenAI having a high demand for signups, so they temporarily shut down new signups.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 days ago

Most likely an infrastructure issue due to the massive increase in network load. It's finals week for many college students, plus the iOS integration and Sora. Definitely a solid 1, 2, 3 punch OpenAI wasn't ready for it seems.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 days ago

Qwen go brrrr

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 days ago
