Incels are anti-abortion because the only way they can reproduce is if women are forced to carry their rape babies to term.

[–] zarkanian 4 points 2 weeks ago

Do you know what the "cel" part of "incel" is?

Is this an actual ad or Photoshop

[–] [email protected] 54 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

The fact that there is a shadow from the frame on all sides makes me think its edited.

Damn, good eye.

If it isn't real someone should make it real.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

And put it up in conservative areas (e.g. suburban freeway billboards), not the middle of city.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

That may not have the effect you seek

[–] [email protected] 13 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

It's photoshop. There is zero reflectivity from the glass.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

What is that picture? How do I interpret it?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 weeks ago

This is a representation of the data density in the jpeg compression. Photos that have been edited and recompressed will often have a different level of detail in the edited regions, or a conspicuous lack of detail as seen in the poster glass here.

See I knew something didn't look right

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

As far as I can find online, it's real. Would have to have a New Yorker go to 5th Ave. and 49th St. to verify, assuming it's still up.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

What are you finding online that seems to validate this?

I have to imagine if it were real we'd have at least 1 other picture, right?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 weeks ago

There'd be hundreds. I looked, can't find another one

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Ah, so literally nothing. This is absolutely fake.

I'm not an expert by any stretch, but it looks fairly legit.

You can see the lighting of the picture is similar to the lighting of the scene/world, including some mild reflection of the ground and cars in front of the dark parts of the picture (his black jacket).

These are very subtle details that, while always possible to fake, would have been a pretty serious investment in time and energy to have done.

So I'm inclined to think it's legit.

I would imagine only the text is edited

[–] [email protected] 35 points 3 weeks ago

Oh man does he look like the murderer in a movie based on a Stephen King novel.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Dems need to actually run this all over the place. It's brilliant.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Too bad it's not real though

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah, hence the comment you're responding to saying it should be made real

more like "Your couch. My choice"

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

Please sir, not my couch!

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

That would be a fantastic political ad campaign. Picture of republican politician, "your body my choice", and maybe a bad quote or bill they sponsored. Dems need to step it up with impactful ads

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 weeks ago

Perfection.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Dimwitted tradwives be like, ‘totally!’…

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I don't kinkshame but it's not a kink if it's forced on others

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

It has only just occurred to me that this may be sexually motivated. I was only hearing it as more of the horrible misogyny coming from them. Well, TIL.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

Just because i’m currently sitting on the couch, does NOT make my body his. He does has a nice punchable face though.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

And we thought Sarah Palin was bad.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

She was. Ugh. Is.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

*obviously photoshopped photo*

Lemmings: "Wow this is definitely real"

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

The fact no legitimate news outlet has covered this, gives me no pause at all

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

Name a "legitimate news source" that doesn't predominantly report based and tweets.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

I don’t see any comments saying it’s real though

Edit: 1 comment saying probably lol

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

Oh yeah? I counted the fingers, buddy, it all checked out.
