64% of Harris contributions have come from new donors

The $126 million Harris has raised since Sunday includes $81 million in just the first 24 hours since Biden's exit, making it the largest one-day fundraising haul for any candidate ever, according to the campaign.

The contributions have come from 1.4 million donors, 64% of whom were making their first donations of the 2024 election cycle.

The campaign also touted adding 74,000 new volunteers since Harris announced her bid for president and said Harris has inherited Biden's robust campaign infrastructure that includes 250 coordinates offices across the battleground states.

64% from new donors is amazing, y'all more than doubled what she would've been able to raise on Biden's legacy alone

40,000 new voters registered in the 48 hours after Biden dropped out, with 83% being 18-34 as well. Let's fucking go!

If Texas could vote in a way that more closely matches it's population, i would be so so happy! Beto is working on voter registration here.

I'm in Harris county and hope they don't find more ways to depress voting here. I'm so fucking tired.

Beto is a good dude.

hi neighbor...preach

Biden's campaign blamed their lack of donations and falling well short of their projections on it being "summertime." Thank goodness summer is over now.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

Summertime before a fall election? Yeah, that's a bad excuse. I was called by a local non-profit I occasionally donate to just today in order for them to be able to ramp up operations in advance of the election. It's prime donation seeking season.

This has been a scary fucking ride but I like this turn

We’ll find out if Mr. Bones is listening in November. Until then, sit tight.

Mr. Bones is a doctor, not a political pundit.

And she didn't have to sell a single bible.

Great to see the US/Dems getting fired up with some positivity for once! There's a strong "Let's goooo!" vibe now! It's incredible how right-wing influencers targeted Kamala Harris' laugh in that video, but watching it brings nothing but joy! With all the recent grimness, I'll take this positivity any day! :-D Kamala is memeable and is leaning into it and I wouldn't be surprised if they just grabbed that laugh video and used it in their own campaign! :-D (I'm not a US citizen, just excited for you finally!)

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Agreed.

I'm Australian. For better or worse we're a vassal to the US. Things were looking pretty grim. I'm heartened to see some positivity around Kamala.

I think you guys are just as deep in their pockets are we are, being the other half of the ANZAC and stuff.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

I thought we sold our soul to China for that sweet housing money

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

Its almost like they saw the problems, knew Biden was the lesser of two evils and now there is no lesser evil they can get excited.

I haven't seen this much positivity about the future since pre-Obama' campaign.

I am feeling a lot more optimistic about Harris as the presidential candidate than I was a week ago.

[–] 5redie8 2 points 1 month ago

Seriously, this is pretty surprising

We've spent the last two or so years watching US leaders visible decay and have public episodes during press conferences.

Having 59 year old suddenly show up is such a relief. It's like a weights been lifted off our shoulders. We feel strong again, faster than before.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Unironically 59 years young

I mean she could most likely beat trump at arm wrestling, golf or whatever. Not that it means anything but it is refreshing to see somebody who probably will have to live with the results of her choices for a couple decades.

I donated for the first time this election cycle, to Harris and to Colin Allred, because fuck Ted Cruz

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Was she visiting a flag factory?

[–] xmunk 43 points 1 month ago (1 children)

She's allowed to, yea. Trump is no longer allowed within 100yds after the repeated non-consenual flag touching that's been caught on tape - I believe it was two months ago that old freebie managed to secure the restraining order?

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

You obviously missed the part where the SCOTUS declared that former Presidents (and Founding Fathers) have had the right to molest the flag all along. Ben Franklin called it the Writ of Flageus Gropus. He may have been drunk at the time, though, and confused the barmaid for a flag.

Early to rise and early to bed makes a man healthy, but socially dead.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Plus, did you see what that flag was wearing?!?!?

When do next FEC reports come public and Open Secrets updates their data? I'm looking forward to this.
