If there were real giants in Egypt at any point, I'd cancel my vacation and go to Egypt right fucking now.

He seriously believes there'd be less tourists if that turned out to be true?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 months ago

That is honestly the most unbelievable part of the entire post!

Giants Revealed to Have Built the Pyramids. Egyptian Tourism Plummets.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

Yeah like who wants to see something giants built or like study the ruins to find out everything we can about a race of giants and where they came and what their society and biology are like if they still exist, snorrrre 😴 give me huge monuments to humanities anxiety over our inability to escape death built by humans who were mostly unpaid! Now that's exciting!

I definitely would not take a vacation to Egypt to view the pyramids if it were revealed they were built by giants.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

What a scam.

To think they made us believe it was aliens for all those years.

  • "Look what authoritarianism built at the expense of better lives for the average person when the rest of the world was far more egalitarian."
  • "Giant extinct humans played with big building blocks. Come see what they made."

hmmm....

There seems to be a broad range of opinions in this thread regarding whether or not people should go to Egypt if giants were involved at some point:

[–] Reverendender 8 points 3 months ago

Except mine was sarcastic

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I might go. But I might not. But I might.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

What he said. Except the opposite.

Sort of like how Mitch Hedberg used to do drugs. He still did, but he used to too.

I miss Mitch.

I'll add another: I'd go to Egypt to see the pyramids regardless who built them, if I could afford it

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

The pyramids are supposed to be a pretty big letdown because of the huge crowds and the fact that Cairo is basically all around them so it's not the placid image you see in pictures (the Taj Mahal is supposed to be similar), but there is a ton of other archeology in Egypt that I would definitely go for.

Earth is such a huge illusion.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

How can earth be real if our eyes aren't real?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Then what am I standing on?!

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago

A huge illusion. Keep up.

My brain...

"Egyptian government know only to well the giants b-... what... Egyptian government know only to well the giants-... the giants built the pyramids- Ohhhh! They know only too* well the big fellas stacked the rocks."

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

What even is that second to last sentence?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 months ago

For example, the Egyptian government knows all too well that the giants built the pyramids, but they won't confirm it because tourism might take a dive

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

to well

How I know this isn't important enough to read? It wasn't important enough to write properly.

Part truths, part lies. It's all a scam.

Which one is it?
