If it's good, that's great! If it isn't good, then I hope everyone involved enjoyed making it. This isn't the first time we've been through this.

Even if it's dog shit writers and animators were employed to create it, and that's a W

“Great is ok. But amazing would be great!”

Since it's had four endings, now five with the most recent reboot, that'd make it 80% reboots

Thank you, I was hoping someone had done the math because it felt like more. I'm going to confidently quote this fact without checking it, I trust you.

What are the 4 endings? The original Fox run, the movies run, and then the Comedy Central run. What am I missing?

Don't forget the all-important 0.04% nickel impurity!

It's what makes Futurama Futurama!

How is this a reboot? Isn't it just a continuation? Reboot implies they're starting over...

"Reboot: A new direction taken on by a pre-established story or character. Remake: A retelling of a story audiences have seen before, but typically with a difference."

This is definition of film reboot. I think you're referring to a software/hardware reboot.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Ooh gotcha, thanks for the reply. I would ask though, is this a reboot by that definition? Doesn't seem to be taking a new direction.

[–] TheMightyCanuck 1 points 1 year ago

In my opinion it is a reboot.

Show is obviously not "changing" but it's under new direction (literally) and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't inject more modern situations and humor into the show.

That would just be turning it off and back on again.

Reboot implies starting over

turning it off and back on again

Correct

Aha, I always thought reboot and remake mean the same thing

40% titanium, 40% dolomite, 40% zinc, 30% iron, and a 0.04% nickel impurity.

60% tinkle...

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Fair, but there hasn't been a decent reboot of anything in forever.

So I'm going in with no expectations to avoid disappointment. If it's good I'll be happy, if it's bad I won't be surprised

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well, all of the previous Futurama reboots were good.

(Maybe except for the one where the writers decided to protest against too many reboots and inserted all those jokes about how reboots are lame. Or maybe that's the best one, IDK.)

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Sure, but the last Futurama reboot was a long time ago. I can't think of too many good reboots that have come out since

I'm 8% robot and I'm sick of this anti robot sentiment
