I am considering a couple of refurbished PCs from reliable sources, as I have no time to build my own at the moment. I need this PC for improved performance in Kdenlive, which uses the CPU for editing, so no major concern about GPU right now. I need power, but also want a reliable CPU that will not give me problems. Would rather have less power in a the CPU works well consistently, than something more powerful that has a tendency to fail. I understand the 14th generation has more power than i7 10th, but have read that it was not to be trusted. Apparently some piece of code could be used to update the BIOS of the motherboard or something. Also, I know there are better CPUs, but I need to choose between two affordable refurbished PCs, I have narrowed down my choices and need to make a decision so I can get back to work asap. I appreciate any insights and advice! Thank you!
