Provide any additional details you wish below.
The current cost is around 1K compared to what partspicker is displaying, the Mobo/RAM/CPU come in a bundle at microcenter for $600. Though I can upgrade to ASUS B650-A ROG Strix Gaming WiFi for $50.
Pretty sure I submitted this post incorrectly last time. I'm upgrading from a GTX 980 and i5-4690K CPU after 10 years.
I know it's a bad time to upgrade, and I'm trying to get a 5070ti or 5080 for GPU, I'll see how that goes this week. I have a Silicon Power A55 that I'm putting in there as well.
Gladly will take advice on all parts.
The ones I picked are mostly based on positive reviews, like the PSU, Cooler or SSD (plus my Samsung SSD is still going after 10 years). Not to sure about the motherboard, based on reviews ASUS does not seem to be as popular as others, especially ASRock and Gigabyte. I'm not opposed to giving up the bundle and trying to get 9800X3D instead, they do show up for sale occasionally, and getting a different motherboard. I kind of wanted to get a Gigabyte motherboard just because the one I have now lasted 10 years. Hoping to grab a MSI GPU as well. Both out of misguided brand loyalty. Although getting an EVGA PSU might be a bad idea as I'm not sure they will exist in a decade.
