With Vieira unavailable, I can see Ethan and/or Myles being on the matchday squad today.
The Arsenal
Since Darwin's brace against Newcastle, he's scored 2 goals from 5 xG. Can be electrifying to watch but is he that much better than Werner was for Chelsea?
He's been memed in to elite striker material, personally I still think he's average at best, commentators and pool fans would have you fooled tho
He also doesn’t offer anything near what Mane and Firminho were doing in other parts of the game. Link-up, creating space, runs, pressing, tracking back etc.
He’s not the one to replace either of them. And when Salah goes, he won’t replace his goals/assists output either.
The VAR official who flagged the handball has been stood down from Sociedad vs Salzburg...
I'd start Jorginho, Rice and Ode in midfield tonight
COYG
with havertz 9
It's not too late for Nwaneri to become the biggest story for us this year.
Omd just saw that there are over 50 tickets in the ticket exchange now - can’t imagine a better time to get a ticket
average price?
i saw vs 110-180 flying vs Sevilla so i just closed the window
Icl I’m seeing mainly the expensive middle tier seats but I haven’t seen as many of the cheaper seats in the lower and upper tiers that cost between 45 and 60 pounds (which make up about 10% of them)
If Arteta the manager had Arteta the player in this squad.... What would be his position and how would he use him?
He'd be on the bench most likely, unless it's Arteta in his everton prime where he would start at left 8.
He would do what Jorginho does.
Basically how he uses Partey
2011-2013 Arteta: no8
After that: basically Jorginho
Partey and Jorginho hybrid. Press resistant like Partey but slower, controls the tempo like Jorginho but not as precise with his passing.
Those first two to three seasons Arteta was here - he was arguably the most important midfield player we had.
He unlocked Song and Ramsey.
It wasn’t till he got older and his legs betrayed him.
He would literally be what Jorginho is now
Did anyone watch the goals show on tnt last night ? Juliet Lauren’s moans and screams at Bradley Barcola we’re something else 🤣apparently a psg and arsenal fan but clearly PSG last night .
I hope Man U get into the UEL. I'd love Liverpool, Newcastle & Man U to be in there suffering Thursday nights.
Imagine if Stan Kroenke didn’t like something that was said about Arsenal by a journalist on NBC so he decided to cut him up into little pieces. Because that’s what lovable, plucky Newcastle’s owners do.
Wilf Zaha is about to get another measure of revenge on United for that sell-on clause.
Id really like to see Ramsdale start tonight at home. Hopefully he got all the rest of in the first half at Brentford. He deserves at least one champions league start and this one would mean more than at PSV.
Clint Eastwood voice 'Deserve's got nothin' to do with it.'
Absolutely not, no room for mistakes tonight. Next game? Yes.
I don’t agree when people say Rice should be made captain as a way to criticise Odegaard. Rice has been great and doesn’t need the armband to be a leader and Odegaard has been a very good captain. I know he has been of it this season but he is such a good player and can return to form. I saw someone say he will probably be phased out at the end of the season which I don’t agree with at all as I think he is a very important and crucial player
Tickets for tonight are available on the exchange if anyone is wondering
Newcastle shat the bed last night. Last half hour it was attack and defense, thought they were the marginally better team before that.
Did they run out of gas or was the strategy just kick long to isak? Not the worst strategy 1-0 up in an away match but it was not working - they really just needed some possession. They were comfortable with the ball before that.
Cheeky tweet from a reliable ITK saying Nwaneri or MLS are starting tonight would hit like crack
Newcastle can get fucked. They played only 43 mins of football at the Emirates last year. That was the biggest robbery I’ve witnessed.
Just realised this weekend is the "Fucked by VAR" cup final. Do they hate Wolves or us more?
There's only one way to find out....
Spurs seem to have bitter rivalries with every team they play this season lol
If we must spend that amount of money, I'd rather we spend £120m on Leao than £100m on getting Osimhen.
Martinelli, Jesus and Kai can adequately manage CF shift.
Leao trained by Mikel is Mbappe competition.
