The bit that interested me

At a dinner with his players, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta secretly hired a team of professional pickpockets. The sleight-of-hand artists were tasked with going round the tables, pinching phones and wallets from an unwitting first-team squad.

At the end of the meal, Arteta stood up and asked them the team to empty their pockets. A number of players were missing valuable items. The idea was to teach his squad the importance of being ready, alert and prepared — at all times.

Hi Gunners,

Been fan of Gunners since Fredrik Ljungberg played there and loved the club since. But I want to know more of history of Arsenal.

Anyone who can share documentaries that are related to Arsenal?

I have seen "Arsene Wenger: Invincible" of course and the "All or Nothing" on Amazon.

COYG!

So... there are three matches against the scousers in six week. On December 23rd in their sty, on January 6 weekend at the Emirates, and then again at home in the beginning of February. There's a chance for a fourth meeting if we decide to prolong their misery and opt for a replay. I thought of this song to the music of Prince's 1999 to remind everybody that it's up for grabs now:

I was dreaming when I wrote it
I just love how Arsenal play
But when I woke up in the morning
Coulda sworn it was our match day
London was all red
There were Gooners everywhere
Going to the Emirates
With excitement in the air

Say, say,
Two-thousand-twenty-three, party on it's Gooner time
So tonight we're gonna party like it's Nineteen-Eighty-Nine

Obviously, we can change Emirates with Anfield, and 2023 with 2024, as applicable, duh...

Looking to get on of the new jackets but I’m unsure about the sizing of them compared to the usual kits that are released. I usually get a medium, but I’m wondering if anyone has one already and can confirm whether or not to stick to my usual size or go up/down

Who has the best defense across Europe? Lets find out shall we.

This was written on Friday

Shot Creating Actions (SCA) vs top teams across Europe.

-Vs city, 170 SCA

-Vs Leverkusen, 176 allowed.

-Vs Bayern, 178.

-Vs Arsenal, 183 allowed.

Arsenal isn't just the best or one of the best defensive team in the PL, but in the world. This will be proven the further we go.

Goal Creating Actions (GCA) allowed.

Juventus allowed only 12 GCA, inter 13, Leverkusen 14, Arsenal 14.

Clearly, Arsenal is to be considered the superior defensive team here, because the context shows that the quality of attackers in the league of the teams ranked slightly ahead or tied, aren't as potent as those that Arsenal have gone up against.

Take-Ons That Leads To Shot Attempt:

When in comes to a defense getting dribbled past that leads to a shot from the opponent, Leverkusen have only been beaten 4 times off the dribble that leads to a shot, Atletico only 7 in such case, Arsenal 3rd in the table with 8.

Again, does Leverkusen and Atletico goes up against better attacking players every weekend than what Arsenal face? I highly doubt it. What makes this even more impressive, is that Arsenal play the highest line out of those 3 teams.

If we are talking about conceding goal scoring chances from Live-Ball passes from the opponent, Leverkusen, Juventus, and Arsenal, have conceded only 5, 6 and 7 goal scoring chances from the opponent respectively.

Goals Conceded:

Nice have conceded 4 goals but again, context shows that L1 quality of attackers aren' that good, because there's no way Nice is the best defensive team across Europe

10 goals scored vs Arsenal, 10 vs Liverpool, 10 vs Leverkusen, 9 vs Bayern, 8 vs Real M, 7 vs Atletico.

There was a penalty given against Arsenal vs chelsea, that should not have been given, and in the same game, a complete fluke goal by Mudryk. So really, Arsenal can even be considered to have conceded only 8 goals for argument sake.

Overall though, it's fair to suggest that Arsenal is currently the best defensive team in the world
