If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Totally not a police state.
I never see more cops than when I go to Texas. It's insane
they did show up at a school in the hundreds, a whole gaggle of them and stood around. thier like pigeons waiting for thier turn to eat the scraps but to scared to approach said food.
The real question is why Texans like to live like that. 🤷♂️
Research has shown that getting traffic stopped by police is correlated with lower likelihood to vote (arc). I think it's reasonable to infer that the heavy visibility of constant police actions against citizens has a huge chilling effect on democratic participation in Texas (and like every other red state in the south too).
My brothers used to not vote because they had outstanding warrants due to traffic stops and resulting tickets they didn't pay.
i was on sites about jury duty, people legit dint register to vote because JD (JURY DUTY)wouldve costed them a ton of money they couldve earned from the job, JD anywhere pays next to nothing for your time.
That's like saying you don't eat hamburgers because one time you stole food from McDonalds
education. eliminate the humanities from the curriculum (also book bans) = no empathy = racism/"i just smoked a dude"/etc. eliminate science/critical thinking = unquestioning obedience = muh paw is a preacher and says _________ are bad people, so we shoot'em

Um, we don’t. We live in one most corrupt state political systems, if not the most corrupt.

PLUS WITH THE help propaganda arm like fox, and rush limbaugh, and now russian propaganda and thier pet grifters in the us.
