While 84% Tariffs is outrageous, It's a measured response compared to 104%. The whole point is that China looks like the reasonable ones. They are the reasonable ones.

8 4 looks very unique calculated number. i wonder if there is other meaning to that number. 8 is bā 4 is Si. bā sounds similar to the word for "rich" in Chinese or the word "scared" and Si sounds similar to the word for "die" in Chinese.

Relatively speaking only. Responding to tariffs that hurt consumers in both countries with more tariffs so consumers of both countries hurt WORSE is not a solution.

Especially not when the adversary you're trying to convince is a malignant narcissist fascist billionaire who doesn't give a shit about regular people.

The only way to win for the governments and people of China and all other countries is to stop trading with the US as much as possible. An outright trade embargo would be a good idea for once.
